Even after me and Jordan fought, it seems we are a lot closer than we were before. He gives me life.
I just hope he cares as much about me as I do about him.
I decide I should go see my mom, so I get dressed and head down to the hospital. This time the nurse should let me see her...
I walk in through the double sliding doors, and go up to the nurse. Her eyes flicker from me to upstairs and then back to me.
"Here to see your mom?"
"Yeah."
"Sorry.. But you still can't. She's gotten worse. She is unsound at the moment."
Unsound?
She must have noticed the puzzled look on my face, so she takes a deep breath and leads me to an empty room.
"Your mom has had something mentally happen to her. None of us know what is going on inside of her brain, but she won't talk. She won't eat. She won't even look at us when we go in the room with her. She won't let us give her medicine either. Last night she actually tried to kill herself with the IV in her arm. We are trying to do all we can right now to save your mom, but she isn't cooperating with us. I'm so sorry Katie."
I feel as If the weight in my legs has gotten heavy. I slump down to my knees and start to cry.
My mom is still alive, but her soul isn't. Her memories aren't. Everything has just gone from good to worse all over again. Why does this all have to happen to me?
Jordan said God doesn't put things in my life that I can't handle, but I CAN'T handle this! Jordan cheating on me, my mom unsound, everything is being piled onto me all at once.
All of a sudden I hear a voice.
"Come to me... With your mom and dad, your sister too..."
Then I see where the voice is coming from. The black mist is crawling over my shoulders and wrapping around my neck. I look up to hopefully see the nurse, but she is laying on the ground unconscious.
I try to get up from my knees, but they are glued to the floor. I. Can't. Move.
"Shh.. Leave her... Now is the time you can leave this horrible earth and come to us..."
I fight back and stand up quickly. I force myself to make my legs work and go to the nurses station in the hall.
"Help!" I scream.
A doctor comes running down the hallway towards me.
"What do you need?" He says.
I point in the room where the nurse was laying unconscious.
"There is a nurse in there passed out!"
He runs in there and I hear a laugh.
"What are you talking about?" He says. "There isn't anyone in there!"
What?
I walk over to the room and stand aside the doctor.
He's right.
She is no longer here.
I run past the doctor, and down the hallway. I run down the stairs and out of the hospital, all the way to my car.
Was what I saw all a daydream? Or was it reality?
I get back on the Interstate and speed my way home. Just as I'm getting off the highway, I see the black mist in front of my car. Behind it, there is a little girl crossing the road.
"Time to come home, Katie."
"No!" I scream in my car. "It's not my time yet!"
I swerve around the mist and around the little girl. Just as I'm trying to regain control of my car, a semi runs the red light and hits my car from the passenger side door.
I see the semi collide with my car, and all of a sudden I feel as if I'm flying in the car. Then the car starts to roll, I hear glass shattering, metal bending, and the sound of bones breaking.
Then darkness.
"Come to me, Katie. Come home."
I am filled with blackness all around me, but I see the mist putting a pointy finger on my shoulder.
"It is your time, my friend. Your time to come to me."
"No! No it isn't!" I scream into the black nothingness.
Then, I see a bright light.

FanfictionKat is the definition of a sad story. Bayani (Jordan) finds his way into her life, making things both better and worse. [This was my first fanfiction, and believe me, I feel like this was very far-fetched and terrible, but you all seemed to like it...
