"Hey!" A familiar red-headed girl grinned as she carefully dragged me into a bear hug. I began to squeal childishly on the inside, yet I attempted to ignore my inner fan girl as it threatened to reek havoc on the outside too. "I'm Amybeth, and this is Dalila."
"It's so nice to meet you both." I smiled widely, noticing the expressions of both girls as they immediately brightened with surprise.
"Your accent!" They said in unison.
"I had no idea you were British." Dalila grinned innocently whilst reaching out to gently hold my upper arm. "This day just keeps getting better."
"A couple of the other girls were supposed to be joining us today too," Amybeth randomly explained, checking the time on her phone. "But something came up. They're all sorry, though - they really wanted to meet you before filming day."
"It's okay, I'll try to catch up with them later." I nodded understandingly and was caught a little off guard by my phone as it buzzed with a text message.
"Who is it?" Dalila questioned as curiousity enveloped her facial expressions. "Is it Lucas?"
"I don't think so... Wait, Lucas?" My eyes widened with shock. "How did you know that we had been messaging each other?"
Amybeth giggled softly.
"He was the one that told me about you." She clarified. "Don't worry, he didn't go into much detail. All he said was that you were the newest member of our series, and that you weren't from around here."
"He did sound sort of... Weird, though." Dalila insisted, glancing between Amybeth and I. "As if he was overly-excited about your arrival."
"Oh," I blinked away my speechlessness - I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Why hadn't he told me yesterday that it was him who had organised the shopping trip? "We've known each other for a while, that's all."
"Well that makes sense." Amybeth nodded, and instantly gasped at the sight of something behind me. "A new shop! We need to go... Come on, girlies!"

"Canadian bacon is so much nicer than what most people make it out to be." I exclaimed, taking another bite of my food as the two other girls watched and giggled.
"See! That's what us Canadians have been trying to tell you guys! Don't deny it until you try it!" Dalila joked whilst swiftly stealing a fry from Amybeth's plate, only to have her hand briskly swatted away.
I instinctively laughed at Dalila's phrasing as I allowed my mind to recall Lucas' similar use of words: Never question the master when it comes to his potions.
"Hey, so when does filming actually start?" I quizzed the bickering girls, shaking my head a little to exterminate my thoughts.
"Next week, actually. I'm so excited! It'll be like reuniting with a long-lost family..." Amybeth smiled with myself returning the favour. "The 'Muricans are flying up next Monday ready for the filming on Tuesday."
"That doesn't leave them with much time to settle in." Dalila frowned as both Amybeth and I mirrored the gesture. "Oh well, I guess they should be used to it by now! It's just a shame that we've now got to wait seven days to meet them again."
Seven days?
"Wow." I thought to myself. "I can't believe it's only seven days until I meet Lucas..."
