"And action!"

"Samantha! Mother wants to talk to us both in the kitchen, and called for me to fetch you!" Diana called out from the mansion's front porch, suddenly capturing my attention.

"Wait, what?"

"Cut!"

I glanced around my surroundings, noticing the few people staring at me with bemused expressions. I expected them to roll their eyes and complain about how inexperienced I was, but instead some of them laughed and reassured me that it was okay.

Lucas, on the other hand, frowned at me from a distance.

"Are you alright?" He mouthed, and I simply nodded in response.

"We'll run it from the top. Action!" The director repeated, and this time I was prepared for the scene to unfold.

"What happened back there?" Amybeth questioned as I quickly made myself comfortable beside her. "You looked distracted by something."

I clasped my hands around the freshly brewed coffee and took a quick swig, eyeing up the snow through the trailer's window.

"I was just thinking, that's all... I'm sorry."

"No, don't apologise. It happens to all of us." She shook her head with a contagious smile. "Is it something I can help with?"

I questioned whether or not I should ask her for advice, and finally settled on doing so.

"It's just that I've been receiving hate lately, and I'm not sure how to cope with it."

"Oh, that's nothing to worry about." She hastily swivelled her torso around so that she was facing me. "We all get hate - it's a big part of being popular."

"But I'm not popular. Nobody even knows I'm apart of this series."

"Well then you must be popular at school." Amybeth shrugged, returning to her own fresh cup of tea.

Yeah, popular for all of the wrong reasons.

"Ladies." A male voice sounded from the trailer's doorway, and we both turned to see a member of the production team standing there with a large duffle coat and ear muffs. "Filming has been cancelled for today - the weather's too extreme for the cameras."

Amybeth groaned once the man had gone, and turned to face me with tired eyes.

"I woke up at half six for this?" She joked, slouching back into her chair. "Hey, how about we do something?"

"I'm guessing most places are shut due to the weather." I shrugged, and she nodded in agreement.

"True... Oh, but you could come to my house!"

I considered the offer for a moment, but thought it'd be for the best if I went straight back to the hotel - after all, I might not have been able to get back at all if I left it until later to drive there.

"I think I'll just go home. I don't want to get stuck in the snow." I explained, and Amybeth completely understood.

Little did I know, when I got back to the hotel that afternoon, both of my parents had gone, leaving me with the text:

Mum: Our favourite band was in town and we really wanted to see them. We won't get back until late. Don't stay up too late! x
