"Lucas." I hummed softly, carefully resting a hand against his cheek in an attempt to politely wake him up. "Lucas, you need to get up now."

"But I'm tired." He moaned in his sleep, and a playful smile sketched its way across my lips. He looked so innocent, and it emotionally hurt me to take that away.

"It's almost eight and we have filming today." I whispered gently, climbing on top of him so that I was now straddling his waist. Lucas slowly opened his eyes and glanced up to meet my own, seemingly amused by what I had just done.

"Why are you on top of me?"

"Because you weren't going to wake up otherwise..." I shrugged, leaning forward to examine his face more intently. "That face mask worked miracles."

Lucas rested his hands on my thighs after rubbing his eyes a little to wake himself up. The butterflies in my stomach grew rapidly, but I quickly fought the urge to let them surface.

"Come on, I've already used the bathroom so you can go straight in." I nodded, climbing off of him once again and wandering towards the closet. "Amybeth's mum should be here soon."

The boy lay in bed for a few moments longer, observing me as I walked back and forth between my clothes and the vanity.

However, before I could ask why he was smiling so much, he finally got up and slid into the bathroom, shutting the door quietly behind him.
