"Yes mum, I'm alive." I reassured the frantic woman on the other end of the phone before having to repeat myself 5 more times. However, it was almost 1am, and I honestly didn't blame her for worrying about her daughter's safety. "I'll see you in the morning."
"I'm guessing that was your mom." Lucas smiled, accompanying me outside of the large building. I placed my phone into my pocket and nodded in reply.
"She was just wondering when I'd be back." I shrugged, gazing up towards the stars.
"I was thinking about heading back home now, actually. I'm kinda tired from dancing." Lucas explained, noticeably glancing over at me whilst I stayed focused on the sky. "And by home, I mean my cousin's Villa that he's letting us rent for a few weeks."
"It still sounds better than a hotel room." I laughed, finally meeting his eyes.
"You should come back to mine." He suggested casually, making my eyes widen.
"Mr Lucas Zumann, did you just invite me back to your place?" I gasped mockingly, and he instinctively laughed in response.
"You have such a dirty mind." He smirked, taking a step toward me. "The villa is only a few minutes away from here, and I'm sure your mom would prefer to know you're safe rather than wandering the streets alone at night."
"Won't your parents freak out about you bringing a random girl back from a party?" I raised a brow.
"They're pretty cool about that sort of stuff..." He shrugged. "Not that it happens very often, of course."
"You're quite the charmer."
"I know... So, are you going to spend the night?" Lucas grinned, meanwhile a hopeful spark danced in his eyes.
I thought about the offer for a moment, and finally settled on agreeing.
"Fine, okay. Let's meet Mr and Mrs Zumann."
A/N I thought this song worked well with Christina's POV :)
