C13: The Lucky One

ZOE'S POV

The guys had left to their cabin except Zack. The girls were inside the cabin rambling about the episodes they had watched while I slept. I was right outside the cabin with Zack.

"Any plans for tomorrow?" he asked.

"Nope. Same old." I said looking down at our intertwined fingers.

"Since you'll be REALLY bored tomorrow... After we finish tomorrow's activities, I'll come and we'll watch some Netflix." he said with a pitty tone.

"Oh sure, as if it were some kind of punishment for you to watch Netflix with me and cuddle." I said crossing my arms, chuckling. He looked at me serious. I laughed at his face.

"Oh Zack, you know I'm kidding!" I said as I walked closer. "I'm lucky to have someone like you by my side." I mumbled nervously.

"Actually, I think I'm the lucky one." he said hugging me. He stayed quiet for a few seconds.

"You know? I could kiss your lips all day." he whispered into my ear, teasingly, making my body shiver. I can tell you, there is nothing that this boy loves to do more than to tease me.

"Now, now Zack, why the rush?" I laughed slightly. I got closer and as he closed his eyes to kiss me, I got out of his grip and started walking towards the door.

"Wha --?" he whinned.

"That's what you get for being such a tease." I said after turning around to face him. "Oh! And by the way, if you think I didn't feel the bulge you had as we talked in the pool, you are so wrong. Goodnight baby." I smirked teasingly before turning around and starting to walk slowly towards the door, again. He was so embarrassed.

"Okay that's not fair! You're beautiful, I can't help it." I heard him shout behind me, as I was about to open the door. I couldn't help but blush.

"If you say so." I said turning around. He came closer and grabbed my wrist softly.

"Look Zack, I just don't want our relationship to be rushed. I feel like we're going too fast and I'm scared. I'm scared that we won't have time to get to know each other, to just laugh and talk about us. Our plans."

"I understand Zo. If you feel pressured or just uncomfortable, tell me alright?" he said smiling softly.

"Okay. Thank you." he hugged me and we just stayed like that for a few seconds, maybe a minute.

"Remember, I'll always be there for you." he said into my ear. I nodded. We let go.

"Tell you what! What if tomorrow, we have a picnic. I'll plan everything. We'll talk and we'll get to know each other more." he said smiling widely, just like a little boy.

"Sounds good to me." I smiled back. He pecked my lips before I continued to walk towards the door.

"Sleep well Zo." he said smiling.

"You too." I said smiling, before closing the door.

"So... Zack Andrews huh?" Kiana asked quietly while I took off my shoes. Lexi and Maya were at the bathroom and Aileen was already asleep.

"Let me guess Kia... He looks like Blake, you think he's a fuckboy, he just wants my body, he will just use me, he'll break my heart... Am I forgetting something?" I chuckled sarcastically. Kiana has always protected me but she has turned quite overprotective since Blake happened.

"You know I just want to protect you. I understand he's hot and sweet and just perfect, but be careful okay?" she said hugging me. I hugged her back.

"You sound just like mom." I laughed.

"Yeah well, you know she protects you as much as I do." she said as we let go.

"I know Kia but if you give him a chance, you'll see how different he is from Blake" I said.

"I will, for you." she answered back smiling. "Why don't you take a good bath and then we'll talk some more about him?" she asked.

"Alright." I said before getting my pajamas and underwear from my drawers. I waited for Lexi and Maya to get out of the bathroom.

As I closed the bathroom, I undressed myself and quickly got in the shower. As the water started running down my face to the rest of my body, my mind refused to stop thinking and thinking. Not about a what but a who. Zack Andrews. The cause of my smiles, laughter and joy. I can't stop thinking about him. How he touches me. How his lips massage mine. How he smirks when he reads my thoughts. How he makes me laugh. How he makes me feel special even though I'm just like everybody else.

*FLASHBACK*

"You know? I could kiss your lips all day." he whispered into my ear, teasingly, making my body shiver. I can tell you, there is nothing that this boy loves to do more than to tease me.

"Now, now Zack, why the rush?" I laughed slightly. I got closer and as he closed his eyes to kiss me, I got out of his grip and started walking towards the door.

"Wha --?" he whinned.

"That's what you get for being such a tease." I said after turning around to face him. "Oh! And by the way, if you think I didn't feel the bulge you had as we talked in the pool, you are so wrong. Goodnight baby." I smirked teasingly before turning around and starting to walk slowly towards the door, again. He was so embarrassed.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

I got out of the shower and put on my PJs. I took off my contact lenses and put on my glasses. I opened the bathroom door and got out after I fixed my hair into a messy bun. I sat criss-crossed in my bed, facing Kia who was sitting right in front of me, doing the same.

"Have you guys done that kind of thingies?" she asked worried.

"For God sake's Kia, I'm 17. Just say it." I laughed. She looked at me still waiting for an answer.

"No Kia. We haven't." I said. "We've only been together since last night. LITERALLY since last night." I laughed.

"It's just that you guys seem so close, like you're going too fast." she said smiling.

"I know. I just talked to him about it." I said.

"Please Zoe, when the right time comes and you guys..." she paused trying to find the right words "do that" I rolled my eyes and laughed "please protect yourself and beyond protecting your body, protect your heart okay? Make sure he is not like Blake. Make sure is he not even related to Blake okay?" she said. I chuckled.

"I know Kia. I learned from my mistakes." I said.

"It was not your mistake, it was his." she said. I feel my eyes get watery as memories start to come back. The memories I once convinced my mind to keep locked away.

A/N: Hey guys! Sorry for not posting for a few days, I've been having a hard time organizing my ideas for this chapter and the next one. I don't know about you guys but the whole Blake situation has been getting quite suspicious.
