C24: First Day

ZACK'S POV

"Surprise." I said smiling. Her eyes got wide and her mouth was shaped as an O. Oh she was surprised.

"Oh my god! Are you serious?!" She asked smiling.

"Yes. I am now an enrolled student from St.John's Academy." I replied smiling.

"Zack." She smiled before she hugged me tightly. "You've known all summer?" She asked.

"By the end of my junior year my dad had told me that we were changing schools but I didn't know to which one. My dad called me when we were at Sea World and told me he had enrolled Noah and I in St.John's Academy so I decided to keep it a secret so I could surprise you on your first day as a senior." I explained.

"So that was the cause of all the calls and the texts when we were at Sea World." She said.

"Yeah" I said laughing.

"I can't believe you'll study here!" She said excited.

"Well if we keep talking we'll be late." I said pulling her by the wrist, leading her to the Academy's entrance.

"It's really nice here, so there's no reason to be nervous." She answered smiling as I opened the door.

"I'll try not to." I replied smiling.

ZOE'S POV

Oh my god. I can't believe Zack is now a student here. Now we'll see each other more frequently.

I know I told Zack that there's nothing to be worried about but honestly, I have a lot to worry about. Not a what, but a who. Guess what? The jackass that cheated on me is still a student here. What a lovely situation my boyfriend and my ex-boyfriend under the same roof.

"Great, they're looking at the new kid already." Zack said referring to the students who walked passed us looking at us. Boys glared at him while some girls practically drooled at the sight, talking indistinctly.

Though Zack drew a lot of attention, people looked at me even more. Just imagine, the girl who got cheated on walking in the Academy's hallway with the new kid, holding hands.

"They're not staring at you. Well, they kinda are but other than the new kid, they staring at the girl who got cheated on and is now walking into school hand to hand with the new kid. That's what's happening." I said with watery eyes before turning around and walking away to the restroom so Zack wouldn't see me cry.

As I walked I felt tears sliding down my cheeks. Someone grabbed my wrist and turned me around.

"Zoe talk to me." Zack said before he hugged me tightly.

"I just... Blake is still a student here." I said forgetting that I hadn't talked to Zack about him yet.

"Who's Blake?" He asked confused.

"Blake Henderson. My ex-boyfriend." I replied.

"Zoe, we'll face him together okay? We'll get through this and I'll be by your side as long as you need me to. Like we always do." He said as he passed his hand through my hair.

"Okay. You should know, he's been watching us since you hugged me and it's intimidating." I chuckled.

"So what? Let him see how little he matters to you now." Zack said. "Who is he anyway?" He asked since I had not described him at all.

"The brunette one, by the lockers." I said before he naturally looked Blake's way.

"Wow. Okay." He said after he looked Blake's way.

"Yeah, he's really attractive." I said.

"Your taste is much better now though. He is really attractive but an asshole. Now, you have a hotter guy and a sweetheart." He said before chuckling.

"You narcisssit!" I said hitting him playfully.

"I'm joking! I'm joking!" He said before grabbing my arms to prevent me from hitting him again and kissed me.

"Well, your kisses are better than his, I'll give you that." I said between kisses.

"You just ruined the moment." He said pulling back.

"Oh I know." I replied smiling evily. "That's what you get for hiding your enrollment in St.John's Academy from me." I said before I playfully pushed him and walked away. I don't think this will be as bad as I thought, as long as I have him with me.
