ZOE'S POV

I'm currently waiting for Zack outside the men's restrooms after watching Baywatch and I literally just realized that summer has gone by pretty fast. Zack and I spent the summer going out on little road trips. We went on picnics, his specialty haha, we went to the movies and much more.

Last week, my family planned a road trip to Sea World in Orlando and they surprisingly, invited Zack to tag along, opportunity he didn't waste. He seemed really distracted by his phone. He often excused himself to check his phone. It got uncomfortable after a while but despite that, we had a great time.

I think my family really likes him. Dennis and Ed were really protective at first. They asked him all types of questions, not even my dad reacted like they did but fortunately they now treat him like family, just like a brother.

Today is Sunday, August 16th, meaning tomorrow is my first day back in St.John's Academy as a Senior. I'm really excited about it but I can't help but feel sad because I won't be able to see Zack as much now. He'll be busy once he starts school and all that. I mean yeah, we'll text and call each other but it's not the same. We'll barely have time to see each other beacuse all the schoolwork, labs and reports.

"You okay babe? You kind of zoned out for a sec." Zack chuckled.

"Yeah. I'm okay." I said. "It's just that I realized that after today, we won't be able to spend so much time together. We'll be busy with school and projects, and all that stuff and I don't want to go back to that!" I whinned.

"I don't want to go back to that either but we have to." He whinned too.

"What are you complaining about? You still have a week before you start school again!" I said laughing.

"Oh. Yeah!" He said awkwardly. Oh he's hiding something.

"Okay?" I replied weirdly.

"What?" He asked grabbing my hand before we started to walk out of the cinemas.

"Nothing." I said faking a smile.

"I know it's not nothing. Tell me Zoe." He said as he stopped walking.

"It's just that you seemed distant when we were on Sea World and you've been pretty secretive lately. And I'm worried ok?" I blurted out.

"I'm not being secretive." He replied.

"See? It was nothing. Forget I even said that." I said quickly.

"Are you jealous?" He asked planting a smirk on his face.

"Do I have a reason to be?" I snapped back.

"Of course not. You know I --" he stopped.

"You what?" I asked with wide eyes. Oh my god. I think he was going to say he loves me. It can't be. He wouldn't love me.

"You know I would never cheat on you." He finished. Of course. Why would he love me? We've only been together for almost two months. He wouldn't love me this soon.

"I know." I forced a smile, which he believed.

"Let's go home." He said before we started walking again.

"Yes, I have to wake up early tomorrow to go to school. Ew." I whinned.

"You'll be fine." He said opening the passenger door to his white Mercedes for me to get in. After I got in and he closed the door, he went to the driver's side and opened the door.

"I know it will, as long as you're by my side to help me." I replied smiling after he closed his door.

"And I will, always." He said before he got closer and kissed me as his hands traveled my neck, going down my collar bones and making their way to my waist.

"Well that's a great way to start my Senior year. Way to cheer me up." I replied after as pulled away to tease him.

"Let's go. My curfew's 11 pm." I said putting my seat belt on.

"Zooo" he whinned.

"No, we gotta go." I said laughing slightly.

"Fine." He said as he turned on the engine and started making his way to my house with a smirk plastered on his face. I can't help but think I'm really lucky to have him.
