C17: Bonfire

ZOE'S POV

We had just finished getting ready for the bonfire. Our last bonfire. We're leaving tomorrow.

"Hurry up Lexi! We're leaving!" I screamed before I left the cabin with Kiana and Maya.

We made our way to the bonfire. "I don't want to leave." Kiana said.

"You just got here, imagine how I feel, I've been here for almost a month." I said looking down.

"Yeah, I don't want to leave either." Maya said.

"I guess you and Shawn will stay together right?" I said.

"I know it'll be challenge but yeah, we're going to try." Maya said half-smiling. "How about you and Zac?" she asked.

"Yeah, we haven't specifically talked about what we're going to do because he's been really down about it... But I guess so." I said before a tear slid down my cheek.

"I don't want to leave. I like him so much and I know it won't be the same. Yeah, we'll talk everyday but we won't see each other everyday. It won't be the same." I said before Maya hugged me.

"Hey, you can sort this out. If he's the one then you guys will do whatever it takes to be together okay?" Kiana said with her hands on my shoulders.

"Okay." I said, crying more than I was before she spoke up.

As we got to the bonfire, Kiana and Maya went to get some drinks and marshmallows.

"Hey there. You're pretty hot. Are you by any chance taken?" a horny voice said behind me.

"Yeah, in fact, I am, and I couldn't be any luckier for having him so goodbye." I said before I turned around and saw Zack just standing there.

"I think I'm the lucky one." he said smiling.

"You've said that already." I said kind of mocking him.

"Can you let me finish?" he asked as he crossed his arms to his chest.

"Sometimes you talk too much have I ever told you that?" he said as he got closer. I looked at him kind of annoyed by his response. I hadn't noticed how close he was by now until I could feel his breath on my lips.

He kissed me. His lips moved in sync with mine, just like a perfect melody, as if they were meant to be together. He wrapped his arms around my waist while mine had made their way up to his neck. He pulled away a minute later and just looked at me in the eyes. I couldn't help but feel naked when his eyes traveled my face. They went to my eyes, then to my lips, and back to my eyes.

"Take a picture it'll last longer." I said chuckling.

"I'll certainly do that." he laughed.

"I'm scared." I confessed out of the blue.

"Don't be. Well go through this, together. We're bigger than this okay? We are better than this. There is nothing we can't do, I'm sure. Will it be a challenge? Yes. Will it be difficult? Yes. We just have to work together okay?" he said while he hold my hands into his.

"Okay." I said before he hugged me. He kissed my forehead.

"Can we go back to the cabin and just watch Netflix and cuddle or just do nothing?" he asked.

"I couldn't think of a better way to spend the night." I said smiling.

"Let's go then." he said.

I walked over to Maya and Kiana. "Guys we're leaving." I said. Kiana looked at me serious.

"Relax Ki, we're just going to watch some Netflix." Zack said. I laughed.

We left. About 5 minutes later, we arrived at the cabin. I opened my drawers and took one of Zack's hoodies and a pair of grey sweatpants.

"You're going to change in the bathroom?" Zack asked with a frown on his face while wrapped his arms around my waist to prevent me from going.

"Yes Zack." I chuckled. He frowned then pecked my lips softly. "You're not convincing me like that, Zack." I laughed before he whinned. "I want to treasure this night while we just chill." I smiled softly. He smiled back and started to look for something in Netflix.

After 5 minutes approximately, I got out of the bathroom and Zack had already selected Grey's Anatomy we always watch it together and we love it.

We were both laying in my bed. He held me tight.

"I'm going yo miss holding you. I'm going to miss the shocks that go down my spine every time you kiss me." he said.

I opened my mouth to reply but the words wouldn't come out.

"I want you." he paused. "I need you."

I just kissed him deeply. I mean, we won't be far away from each other but once we get out of camp we'll be busy and maybe we won't have as much time for each other as we do now.

I feel like I'll be empty when we both leave tomorrow. I can't imagine any of my days without him. I hold such strong feelings and fear. I don't sure what they are but what I'm sure of is that they stronger than just a crush on Zack... But, I can't be in love... Or can I?
