C18: Bad at Goodbyes

ZACK'S POV

Today's the day. We leave. Go our seperate ways. Today we end the best month of my life. This month, I met my girl, one of the best things I have.

She's special, its sounds corny, I know, but she really is. She knows exactly what to say all the time. She understands my feelings, my thoughts.

I'm going to miss seeing her everyday. I'll miss being with her. I know that we live like 25 minutes away from each other, that's why I'm going to take her out every chance I get. Other than Zoe, I'll miss the guys a lot. Shawn lives a little far from here so we won't get to see each other so often.

"I'm really bad at goodbyes." she said hugging me.

"Zoe, this is not a goodbye" I laughed. "I live 25 minutes away from your house." I finished and she chuckled.

"I know but that doesn't make me miss you any less." she said.

"I'm going to miss the girls and the guys a lot, though." she said, still hugging me.

"I know baby. I will too." I replied. "Shall we go to the cafe for the last time?" I asked.

"I'm sad and trying to forget that today's our last day here and you come here and remind me... Not fair Zack, not fair." she whinned, I chuckled in response.

As we got to the cafe, Shawn and Maya passed us by. Tears filled Maya's face. Shawn walked infront of her holding her hand, leading her putside the cafe.

"Maya?" Zoe said waiting for an explanation. She ignored Zoe and kept on walking, lowering her head.

We kept walking and sat with Marcus, Kiana, Lexi and Noah.

"What's wrong with Maya?" Zoe asked.

"She's very emotional because of Shawn and everything." Kiana replied.

"What ABOUT Shawn?" Zoe asked a bit lost.

ZOE'S POV

"He's spending the entire summer with his dad in Chicago. He just found out this morning." I replied.

"Oh Maya." she sighed. "No wonder she's a mess. I need to talk to her babe. I'll be right back." she added with a frown on her face before slosky letting go of Zack's hand to go and support Maya.

"Of course, go." he replied.

ZOE'S POV

"Oh Maya, come here." I said before she ran over to me and hugged me tightly.

"I'm going to miss him so much. We had our whole summer planned! We were going to go to the movies and go on a road trip. He was supposed to teach me how to skate. He was going to meet my parents! Now, everything's ruined, it's not fair." she cried.

"Maya, it's going to be okay. You guys are strong, you are one of the most important things in his life. He won't stop caring about you just because you're far away from each other, trust me." I said.

She mumbled a 'thank you' before letting go of me.
