Zoe's POV

I texted one of my best friends, Marcus. I've known him since we were both babies because our parents went to high school together. Now, Marcus and I go to the same academy, St. John's Academy. He was coming to camp too.

I was walking with my luggage when one of the straps of one of my backpacks broke and all my luggage fell pulling me with them

I was walking with my luggage when one of the straps of one of my backpacks broke and all my luggage fell pulling me with them. Great! First day of camp and I fell just five minutes after arriving.

"Just when I thought my day couldn't get any worse!" my thoughts were interrupted by a tap on the shoulder.

I turn around and saw the cutest boy I've ever seen. Not that I care. I didn't even want to come here in the first place but I mean, he was seriously attractive. He was dirt blonde. Had hazel eyes, muscular body and probably like 4 or 5 inches taller than me; I would know that for sure if I wasn't sitting on the floor like a total goofball while my luggage was all over the place.

"Do you need help with your luggage?" he snapped me out of my thoughts.

"I guess so. Thank you." I said while he helped me get up and started picking up all my bags.

He noticed I was picking up my bags along with him.

"Don't worry about it, I got it." he said with a warming smile. "Where are you headed?" he asked.

"The gazebo. Thanks again." I said.

"Oh good, I was going over there too to pick up my schedule. And... Don't worry about it..." he made a pause as if he was afraid to be honest. "I saw a cute girl who needed help with her luggage, I just took the opportunity." he smiled softly.

"What opportunity?" I said smiling wide at his comment.

"The opportunity in which I get to talk to you." he blushed lightly. I look away so he wouldn't see me blush. I probably look like a tomato at this point.

"My name's Zack, by the way. Zack Andrews." he said, while struggling with my luggage to shake my hand.

"I'm Zoe Gonzalez. Nice to meet you." I shook his hand and there was a long, awkward silence when we starred into each other's eyes. He broke the silence.

"Gonzalez, huh?" he said with a weird tone. We started walking towards the gazebo.

"Yeah. My family's from Puerto Rico. I was born here though. Is there a problem?" I sounded defensive when I said that last part. I didn't mean to though.

"No. I like latinas. They're spicyyy" he said with a horrible Latin accent.

"That was horrible!" I giggled.

"Hey! At least it made you smile. You weren't when I first saw you." he said.

"Well that's because my parents made me come here." I said a bit serious.

"Oh." he said disappointed. "My dad made me come here too." he said a bit annoyed. "But I met you, that's a nice start." he was now smiling. I smiled back. I could see his perfect, white teeth. Wow. Just... Wow.

As we got closer to the gazebo, I could see Marc's silhouette making kissing faces and wrapping his arms around himself as if he was making out with someone.

I giggled and Zack noticed Marc's actions. "Who's that freak?" he asked.

"Yeaaah... He's my best friend, Marcus. He likes to bug me every time he gets a chance." I said.

"Is he ok?" he asked concerned. "He looks as if he was being electrocuted." he said again.

"Well... He's being Marcus." we both laughed.

We got to the gazebo and Marcus got serious when he saw Zack carrying my luggage.
