"Yo, Gray. I'm kind of getting a little cold. Do you think we could quickly head back to my house so that I can get my hoodie?" I chuckle as we climbed into the GMC.
"Hold on a sec." He said climbing out of the GMC and ran inside.
"What are you doing?" I shouted at him and laughed to myself.
A few seconds later he came back running with a black hoodie in his hand. He climbed into the car and handed me the hoodie. I rolled my eyes.
"Grayson, that's your hoodie. We can go back to get mine from my house." I smiled.
"Why waste gas when I have a ton of hoodies right here?" He smiled and I took the hoodie.
I put the hoodie on and looked back at Grayson, who was looking at me the whole time.
"What?" I said putting on my seatbelt.
He just shook his head and started the car.
"If this hoodie is going to distract you while you're driving, I'll take it off right now." I said getting ready to take it off.
"No, keep it on. You're cold." he said placing his hand on mine and made me release the hoodie. "I'll just have to stop looking at you. Not the hoodie." he smiled and let go of my hand and placed it on the steering wheel.
I smiled and looked out the window. "Let's take a long drive."
"Was planning to. I have this beautiful spot to show you that's an half hour away." He said pulling the car out of the driveway.
I took out my phone and looked at the time. "It's nine fifty eight. We've got loads of time."
He nodded and we drove. The whole car ride was silent. Now and then I would catch Grayson taking small glances from me in the corner of my eye, and he would catch me looking at him too.
I needed this. This silent night drive. I needed to clear my mind, and this did that exactly. The city lights and dim music set the mood completely. It described what I needed.
Finally after about thirty minutes, we stopped at a closed gate.
"Come." Grayson said as he took the keys out of the ignition and opened the door.
I climbed out of my side of the car and Grayson locked the car.
"Am I about to get murdered, Bailey?" I said as Grayson opened the gate.
"Not today, Tammers." He said holding out his hand.
I took his hand and he intertwined his fingers with mine, leading me through the gate.
"You're scaring me." I chuckled and he smiled.
"Almost there." He said.
After a few seconds of walking, Grayson came to a stop.
"And now?" I asked turning to him.
"Wait here." he said letting go of my hand and walked away.
"Shit no, Bailey. It's pitch black I can't see anything. Bailey?! Grayson freaking hell come back." I stood there in the dark.
I heard something like a switch being clicked, and suddenly a bunch of lights go on.
An abandoned carnival.
I smiled as I saw all the rides that probably doesn't work anymore. The ferris wheel was the most beautiful.
Grayson appeared behind me and rested his head on the top of mine.
"How did you find this place?" I said still admiring everything.
"Me, E and Cam went on a night drive one night and we stumbled upon this place. Your reaction is probably the same as we reacted." he said lifting his head from mine and held out his hand. "Come on."
I took his hand and we walked over to the Ferris wheel.
"Let's go up." he said and let go of my hand, walking over to a ladder that was set on the ground, leading up to the middle.
"Aren't you afraid of heights?" I chuckled, following him.
"Yeah, but I've gotten kinda used to it." he said starting to climb up the ladder.
I rolled my eyes and started climbing after him. We got to a point where the ladder stopped.
"What now?" I said.
"Follow me." he said.
Grayson started to climb on the poles leading to the nearest cart. I followed him, being careful of messing up. He got into the cart and helped me, which was a little easier.
"You could swear you're not afraid of heights by the way you just climbed." I chuckled as I sat down.
"I just don't look down." he smiled and also sat down.
I looked out to the view of the house lights in the distance and smiled.
"This is so pretty." I said and looked over to Grayson, who was also staring at the view. He nodded.
I looked at him for a while and he still didn't look over at me yet, which was unlike him.
"Yo." I said shoving him lightly. "What's on your mind?"
"Just what happened tonight with Sydney. I thought she was my friend." he said, still looking out to the view.
"Gray, we came here to distract ourselves from that." I said looking down at my hands in my lap.
"I'm sorry. It's just that this is my thinking spot, and it just popped back into my head."
"I'm just as upset as you are, Grayson." I placed my hand on his shoulder. "But she isn't even worth thinking about."
"I know." He looked at me and smiled, taking my hand off of his shoulder and placed it on his leg, giving it alight squeeze. "Thank you for being so supportive."
I smiled. "Well I thought she was our friend, but I was wrong, and she hurt two of the most important people in my life."
"I'm not just talking about right now. You've been supportive from the day you found out we were bullied. I still appreciate what you did on that day." He smiled.
"You're welcome." I poked his nose with my other hand that was not on his leg. "Thank tou for being the best friend anyone could ask for."
He smiled and placed a soft kiss on my cheek. "Me and Ethan are filming another YouTube video tomorrow." He said after a silent minute. "And I thought that maybe, just maybe, you could come watch behind the scenes?"
"Mhmm." I leaned my head on his shoulder. "Depends if you turn that maybe into a definite decision."
"Okay, so you want me to force you into coming?" I gave a slight chuckle then he turned over to me, making me lift my head up. He grabbed my shoulders and started shaking me. "Tammy, you have no choice bit to come tomorrow! I will kill you if you don't! DO YOU HEAR ME?" He yelled and I started to laugh hysterically.
He started to laugh too and took his hands off my shoulders and slid one hand around my waist. "So will you pleaseee?" He said in a babyish voice and a bug cute smile, making his eyes squinted.
"Who could say no to you?" I smiled and gave him a longish but soft kiss on his lips.
He smiled and gave me a tight hug, which caused me to giggle.
He pulled out his phone to check the time. "It's almost eleven. Do you still want to stay here or go home?"
"I think we could go, but do we have to go home already?" I pouted and he grabbed both my hands.
"If you have something we could do instead of going home, we can go do it."
"I want strawberry lemonade. From Cheesecake Factory." I said still pouting.
"Then let's go." He smiled and stood up.
I know strawberry lemonade is Grethan's specialty drink, but maybe just tonight it could be Tamson's.
