"It's so beautiful here, Ma. The food's good, great people and the best places to go. We went to a little café at The Grove this morning to eat breakfast, and may I tell you that it was the best acaii bowl I've ever eaten. But the twins say that there is a great acaii place where it's even better. So I'm excited to go and get that when we go to the beach in a few days." I ramble to my mom on the phone as I stood on the twins' apartment balcony.
"Woah, seems like you're having fun already and you've only been there a day." She chuckled through the phone.
"Yeah. I can't wait for what's to come." I smiled.
"I'm so happy for you, honey. Now go. Spend more time with your friends." I could hear the smile in her voice.
"Okay, Mama, I'll call you soon. Love you." I said.
"Love you too, honey." She said and ended the call.
I walked nack inside to the living room, where Lina and Ethan were sitting and talking. They stopped when I came in.
"Well that surely doesn't sound like you gossiped about me." I joked.
"I'm just telling Ethan how we met and how me and your mom surprised you." Lina smiled.
"Oh." I smiled. "Where's Gray?"
"He's in my room editing the last bits of the video we upload later." Ethan said.
"Okay cool. Thanks." I smiled then smirked at Lina. "I won't disturb you two any further." I said and walked away.
I walked to Ethan's room and opened the door. The desk with the computer is right at the door so Grayson immediately looked up once the door opened.
"Hey." He smiled and looked back at the computer.
I plopped myself on the bed. "You upload in an hour right? At twelve?"
"Yeah. I'm almost done, then I have to upload it. Hopefully it processes quick enough." He said, his eyes still glued to the screen.
I nodded, even though he couldn't see, and fell back on the bed, staring at the ceiling. It was quiet for a minute until I spoke up.
"Ethan and Lina are real chatty on the couch." I chuckled, still laying on my back.
"Yeah?" Grayson replied.
"Yeah. What does E think of her?" I asked.
"He thinks she's really cute, but doesn't think much of it because they just met and he just wants to get to know her better for now. And he also says that even if there's like something there, he's just gonna wait a while because he's still a little hurt because of that Sydney fiasco." He said.
"Yeah I mean I would too. And I don't think Lina wants a relationship right now, but believe me, if Ethan wants one she'll want one all right." I chuckled.
He chuckled. "Yeah well it's still super early. We'll see what happens."
"Yeah."
It was quiet for a few more minutes and I was bored of just sitting there, so I got up and walked to the door. As I turned the doorknob, Grayson put his hand on my arm.
"Stay here. Please?" He said looking up from the computer and pouted.
"I'm bored. And you clearly don't really want to talk." I chuckled, opening the door.
"What makes you think that?" He asked confused.
"I mean, I've been starting the conversations since I came to the room, and we just sat in silence for about five minutes, so." I said, my hand still on the open door's knob.
