Elizabeth Schuyler was both excited and nervous to meet her soulmate. The words on her wrist made it clear that she's going to be in some sort of trouble when she met them, the words making her nervous. Are you hurt? Why would her soulmate ask her that? She wanted to meet them but she didn't want to be in a position that she could be hurt in.

She sighed and finished getting ready, she had some grocery shopping to do today. She just needed to refuel her kitchen for Peggy's birthday get together, some flour, sugar, milk, vanilla, and some other ingredients should do fine. She wanted to make a cake and some sides for her little sister.

She walked into her usual shop and took the ingredients she needed to the front desk, she paid for everything easily before packing up and heading home. She was a regular at that particular shop so it always took less than a full minute to get in and out, she was actually sort of friends with the owner though they barely spoke.

Slowly, Eliza began to skip. She swung her grocery bag happily, she really wanted to get home so she could get the cake done as soon as possible. Her sisters were the best things in her life honestly so she didn't mind spending the past three weeks specifically on Peggy's birthday. She smiled and turned onto her street before stopping, "S-Sorry!" She'd almost run right into a guy who looked at least six foot.

She stepped back and smiled as gently as she could to try and alleviate the stress or tension of the moment. The guy, however, didn't respond verbally, he just grabbed her arm and she squeaked, he shook her arm and her entire body moved with the action. He grabbed her groceries before she could get a better hold on it, "I think you owe me this." He said bluntly.

"What?" Eliza tried to snatch it back but he held it up higher than she could get it, "No! Give that back right now, Mister." Even when she was angry, Eliza always remembered to be polite to anybody.

He took a step forward and she instantly stepped back, "What?" He pushed her shoulders and Eliza instantly fell down, "Honestly, what're you going to do? Miss little lady?" He leaned down and Eliza tried to shrink.

"What do you even want with groceries?" Eliza asked indignantly, sitting up straighter but shrinking once again after saying those seven words. She was wondering why he wanted her stuff but couldn't bring herself to question it too much.

"Hey!" Eliza looked at the voice but he wasn't speaking to her. He ran up and shoved the guy by the shoulders, "It's just fuckin' sad to hurt a lady you know." He growled and looked at the bag, "Bet that isn't yours either." He grabbed it and took a step closer. The guy took a step back in the same way Eliza did earlier before scampering off. The man chuckled and turned around, "Are you hurt?"

Eliza's eyes widened, was he the one. She bit her lip and shook her head, "No...sorry-I mean thank you!" She grabbed his offered hand and stood up only to find him frozen. She blinked, "Are you okay?"

"May I see your wrist?" It was then Eliza realized she'd found her one and only. She offered him her hand and he took it, turning it over and sliding her sleeve up. Slowly, he turned his over and showed them to each other side by side.

"M...My name is Elizabeth Schuyler..." She mumbled since what else are you supposed to say when you meet the person you'll spend the rest of your life with? "And thank you again.." She motioned to the bag, "Th-That's mine.."

"Punk," He looked in the direction of the guy who had run off before smiling at her again, "My name is Hercules Mulligan and I hope to one day make you Elizabeth Schuyler Mulligan." He smirked.

Eliza smiled down at her feet, "M-Marriage...you just suggested..." She blushed harder before looking up, putting some hair behind her ear, "Y-Yeah..okay. I want to be Mrs Mulligan, but just um not yet."

"Of course...s-so what were you doing before that punk decided to act like such a dick muncher?" He asked and looked at the bag which now hung in her hands, clenched as if it would be taken again.

Eliza also looked at the bag before remembering herself, "Oh wow um I was making my sister's birthday cake. D-Do you some-I mean do you maybe want to come with me? I could use some help."

Hercules nodded quickly, "Of course. I wasn't up to anything anyway, do you live here-near here I mean." Eliza then realized he was just as nervous as she was and it made her giggle behind an ear, "What's so funny?"

"O-Oh nothing..." Eliza said quickly and took a chance, getting on her tiptoes and kissing his cheek lightly, "You're just...really nervous and adorable. I'm not quite sure how to take it all in honestly."

Hercules looked away for a moment before he leaned down and kissed her forehead, Eliza squeaked from the contact, "I feel exactly the same about you. I'm so glad my soulmate is a really cute girl..."

Eliza blushed and could still feel the heat from his lips on her forehead, "Let's go I-I live near here...you will help me though, right? Because otherwise, you should go home~" She smiled and kept nervously playing with her hair.

"Of course I'll help you," Hercules replied and Eliza swung her bag, leading him back to her little place. It wasn't huge but it was enough for her, "Whoa this place is cleaner than any place I've ever lived." He commented.

"Really? I should clean better honestly...I fall behind a lot..." She shrugged and headed to the kitchen, putting the ingredients down on the counter, "But I guess it's because I've been keeping myself busy as of late..."

"Well..." Hercules smiled at her, "I just like spending time with you. I don't mind the conditions, honestly, I can tell I already like you." He looked at her and Eliza could tell she was already falling helplessly in love.
