Alexander was a steadfast and his wife was just as steadfast, Alexander was stubborn and his wife was just as stubborn, Alexander had a lot of opinions he would and could definitely argue for and his wife did too. Let's just say, arguing within the Hamilton household was common, but, it was never personal.

Angelica would start a fight one day about France, Alexander would segway that into the patriarchy which pissed Angelica off to the point of fighting about Thomas Jefferson. It seemed stressful and in truth, it was, but neither of them would have it any other way.

Angelica needed a marriage that let her debate politically despite being a woman, she needed a man who would hold and cherish her interests and hobbies, she needed to have somebody who would fan her fire, keep it alive, and not try to extinguish it. She needed her soulmate and it looked like her soulmate was a man named Alexander Hamilton.

Alexander needed a marriage that challenged his beliefs so he could argue for them and realize why he held them and understand himself better, he needed a lover who would be at his level and never a step behind, he needed somebody ready to challenge and attack the world with him, somebody with conviction and power behind their eyes. That somebody was a woman, a woman named Angelica Schuyler Hamilton.

Alex often brought Angie to political meetings and though some people would be concerned about bringing their wife who often shouted objections from the spectating benches, Alex wasn't. Actually, every time Alex saw somebody approaching Angelica he felt concerned for them, however, the show when they tried to tell her a woman shouldn't be there was too good to pass up. He sometimes he wished he had popcorn when Angelica popped off, to be honest, she was well put together and brilliant.

Today wasn't one of the special days though as he began unbuttoning his shirt, Angelica complaining audibly about the fact that the federal government had less power than the states, "Like we could decide the age of something is 18." She was complaining, "And um, I don't know, North Carolina could just decide that nope it's 21. OR we could decide age 16 has some privileges and Pennsylvania could just make it 17. It's like, why have a federal government that can't even govern more than a few guidelines?"

Alex huffed and pulled his jacket off, "You aren't looking at the bigger picture, honey." He hung the green suit jacket up and turned to her, "If the federal government had the capability to determine something for every state no matter what then we could be ruled as a monarchy and we both know how that ended last time." He shrugged, "Besides, we set guidelines as the federal government and then the states get to decide to be stricter but never looser. It's a good system because then everybody is happy, or at the very least, appeased."

Angelica crossed her arms, "Of course you'd say that but you're very wrong. I don't want to have to look up every single state's laws when I cross the state lines because Rhode Island decided it's an offense to throw a pickle in a trolley while the federal government says trolleys can be trolleys and in Maine it's illegal to walk down the street while playing a violin and-my God, it's a mess! Yes, states should be able to pass their own laws, but at what point does the federal government get a say in it that isn't a whole new amendment to the Constitution?"

Alex rolled his eyes, "Well, let's play federal government then, alright? If the government decided that Rhode Island can't make trolley-related laws and if the government decided that Maine can't ban violins, where does it end? We could keep going until none of the states had individual laws and we both know the nature of people too well to think they'd just limit themselves, only an idiot believes that. It's best to completely cut the federal government off from state bodies because if we don't then we're going to have a whole new revolution on our hands." He watched Angelica take her earrings out with the most upset face and it almost made him chuckle.

She marched over and Alex knew he was in for it. She grabbed his collar and he squeezed his eyes closed in preparation to lose his ears but found her lips on his. He snapped his eyes open for a moment before melting into it, holding her hips gently as he kissed her back softly. She bit his lip and he pulled back, "Whoa..."

"Whoa?" She chuckled and slipped her arms around him, "You think your wife knows no tricks to make you shut up? I've been with you for seven years, I know exactly how to make you stop talking Mr Non-Stop."

He smiled and shook his head, "Me? I never talk! Nope. I'm a shy little boy who can't even say hello to Mr Senator Secretary Jefferson." Angelica began laughing and he nuzzled her neck, "I wish you were still angry." He admitted quietly.

"Why?" Angelica asked and looked back at him, people were always trying to make her not angry or stop being angry so being told she was wanted angry made no sense, "Do you want to be crucified or something?"

"Oh no nothing like that!" Alex said quickly before laughing a little, "What I mean to say, I guess is, that well. Angry sex with you is better than finding forgotten money in a different jacket or pair of pants. You become a lot more unexpected and...stuff..." He trailed off and looked away as awkwardness filled his being, "I guess I mean I don't want you angry at me exactly but angry in general because-"

Angelica kissed his cheek to cut him off, "I get it, love, but I'm not angry. That's not an emotion I can force. Now, the sex bit, that is definitely on the cards. You still down for that?" She asked and watched Alex turn just a hint of pink.

"If I ever say no, shoot me," He mumbled and let her take his hand, leading him away from their foyer straight to their bedroom.
