-FLASHBACK-
That night Richie spent most of it in Eddie's bedroom. The two stayed up until two o'clock in the morning. All they did was talk, talk, and talk. Every now and then, Richie would wrap his arms around his friend and pull him closer to him. Eddie wouldn't say anything because he didn't mind, he liked hanging with Richie very much. Eddie's face would heat up when their hands brushed against each other's, the small touches made him want to tell Richie all about his feelings. Maybe just maybe he would feel the same.
The night had come to an end once the smaller boy fell asleep. Richie left quickly after that and walked slowly towards his house. School started in less than four hours and Richie wasn't capable of falling asleep. All he wanted to do was go back to Eddie's and tell him his feelings. The feelings he just discovered confused him. He didn't even remember when they started... Maybe they were just always there. Richie loved Eddie and the only thing left to do was to tell the boy. If he told Eddie then the two could be together. It seemed simple.
Once the boy arrived at the school in the morning, he searched for Eddie. He needed to know. Richie thought it would be stupid to hold his feelings back, so he was just going to tell him and hope for the best. Richie had a big mouth and he couldn't keep it shut, especially if it involved his feelings.
"Mike," he called out. The boy quickly jogged over to his other friend and stopped when he reached him. "Do you know where Eddie is? I need to talk to him. It's really important. This can't wait," Richie explained. A feeling of excitement started to take over. "It's like really really really really important-"
Mike laughed and began nodding his head. "He's in the bathroom. He's meeting up with me after, so you can just wait with me," he said, curiosity slowly took over. "Why do you wanna talk to Eddie?"
"I wanted to tell him about my-" he stopped himself. "About my excitement! The writing club starts today and I'm just really excited. Eds and I get to spend more times together, so yeah," Richie awkwardly laughed.
Lizzy stood across the hall and listened to the two. She rolled her eyes before walking over to them. "You're still going through with that?" she asked Richie. "Can you make it look like you care and wait a few days. We just broke up."
