"You get hurt, I'll take your pain. I know you don't believe it but I said it and I still mean it. When you heard what I told you when you get worried I'll be your soldier."

A lot had happened the night before. Richie confessed his feelings for Eddie through actual words and not shitty jokes, Mike came to a realization that he wasn't as happy as he thought he was, and Ben finally got the sleep he deserved. Everything was almost right in the world. Mike and Ben sat on the couch, early in the morning, and had a small conversation while they waited for the others to wake up. "Did you get any sleep?" Ben questioned, turning his head to Mike.

"Eh, not really," the other boy answered, laughing slightly at himself. He threw his head back so he was looking up at the ceiling. "I stayed up with Jane and watched a few movies. We ate eggos. It was nice."

Ben smiled widely, nudging his friend in the side. "I bet." Mike turned for a brief second just to see his smile and when he saw it, he groaned. He knew that look- he practically owned that look. It was the same look he always gave Eddie or Stanley.

"Don't start, Ben," Mike warned, unable to stop the chuckle that escaped his lips. "I've only known her for a day so don't give me that look."

"Cinderella only knew prince charming for a few hours," Ben protested.

"Don't you think it says a lot that prince charming doesn't even have a fucking name? They barely knew each other," Mike laughed, grinning as he and Ben went into one of their many debates. "And this is why the losers don't let you watch Disney movies on your own."

"That's fair," the other male huffed. "And I didn't watch it on my own, I watched it with my mom and she happens to think that the two were soulmates."

"Which doesn't surprise me at all," Mike hummed. "I think you and your mom are known for being hopeless romantics."

Before Ben could reply, Richie stepped out of Eddie's room with a stupid smile resting on his face. The two boys on the couch could have sworn his face expression was like that all night. "So?" Ben spoke up, wanting to know every single detail, well maybe not every single one but the main points. "What happened last night? Did you and Eddie talk?"

Richie beamed at the question and just shook his head as he did a weird dance around the living room. "Hi," he said happily, his smile never leaving his face. The taller boy reached out for Ben's hand and pulled him off the couch. Before Mike or Ben could protest, Richie twirled the boy and continued to act love struck.
