"Wise men say only fools rush in but I can't help falling in love with you. Shall I stay? Would it be a sin? If I can't help falling in love with you."
-Elvis Presley
(Can't Help Falling In Love, Elvis Presley)
Bill walked the streets of Derry alone. He was meeting up with Stan and Beverly to look for Georgie. Ever since the kiss, the two didn't say anything but that was because they didn't have to. It all came naturally to them. There was no need to ask or to question anything because they knew that they were already together. Maybe they always were. Bill and Stan thought their feelings were simple, they both liked each other, so why waste that and not be with each other? That's when they came to the conclusion that they were with one another.
Bill carried his feet to Stan's location. He walked slowly. It's not that he didn't want to meet up with Stan, it's that he wanted some time to think about Georgie. There was still no sign of him and Bill started to get a bad feeling. His thoughts were quickly interrupted when a body collided with his. He stumbled back and made eye contact with an old 'friend'. He took a deep breath and put on a fake smile, "P-Peter," he said quietly.
"Bill," Peter replied with excitement. "How have you been? It's been a while." The two stood there and looked at one another every other second. Bill wanted to be out of this awkward situation. He hated talking to his friends exes. He was already an awkward person in general but things like this made it ten times worse.
"I've b-b-been great," Bill exclaimed dramatically. "I've never been this busy in my life, I'm really gr-great. How have you been? I haven't t-talked to you since your break up w-with Eddie."
"I've been okay," Peter told him. "I haven't really been talking to anybody recently. I decided to stay on the low. I heard about Eddie going missing- how's Richie holding up?"
"Besides being h-h-heartbroken and continuously saying he c-can't live without him, he's doing j-just fine," Bill sarcastically answered.
"That bad, huh?" Peter questioned.
Bill nodded slowly. "He's your ex, I'm surprised you d-don't feel the same way Richie does. And Richie didn't ev-even date Eddie."
"I don't get sad easily," the other boy said. "It would take a lot to make me cry. I always thought Richie had a thing for him."
"I always knew R-Richie had a thing for him too," Bill smiled softly at the thought of his two friends being together. "I know E-E-Eddie had a thing for him too."
