-FLASHBACK-
"Guys, we have a huge problem!" Richie exclaimed, walking back and forth as he ranted to Mike and Ben. "I love Eddie and he's completely unaware of my feelings. On top of that, he's with an actual asshole. What do I do?"
"Tragic," Mike mumbled, rolling his eyes playfully when Ben shot him a look.
"Look, Richie, none of this would be a problem if you just told him how you feel," Ben added in. Mike slowly nodded along while his friend went on, "I'm tired of hearing you complain about your feelings when you don't do anything about them."
"All you do is bitch," Mike laughed. "And to think that you said Eddie was the one who always pouted and complained about something."
"What am I going to do?" Richie asked. "You guys are acting like he's single- he has a boyfriend. Don't you think it'd be rude for me to try and step in on my best friend's relationship like that? I don't want to confuse him-"
"One, you're always rude," Mike noted. "And, two, Eddie isn't even happy in the relationship. Maybe he needs a push in the right direction. If you told him you liked him, he'd probably end it with Peter."
"You think so?"
"He would," Ben confirmed. "I'm pretty sure he has feelings for you too."
"You guys are completely right. I'll tell him how I feel- but umm," Richie nervously searched for an excuse, "But before I tell him- maybe we should stop by Ben's and get some hamburger helper. I'm really fucking hungry."
Ben rolled his eyes before responding, "Richie, this isn't the time for food, okay? You should go tell Eddie right now. You're just trying to avoid it because you think he's going to reject you-" Mike interrupted him.
"Food actually does sound good right now," he said, flashing his friend a quick smile.
"Come on, Benjamin," Richie sighed. "Can't we get food before I confess my undying love for Eds? I need something in my empty stomach."
"If you ate something, you'd end up getting really nervous and throwing up on Eddie," Ben stated, a smirk resting on his face. "So I think it'd be smart if you didn't eat anything, Rich."
