Chapter20: the walk.

Jungkook's POV..

We walked beside each other on the street like normal people would.
I'm wearing my mask and hood over my head.

I noticed from the corner of my eye y/n glance at me a few times like she wants to say something.
It went on for nearly a minute, until she finally said what she's obviously been trying to say.

"Can you... umm..lift the hood of your eyes a little?" She requests hesitantly.

I always do that, but still no matter how much I cover myself it doesn't take long 'til someone recognizes me.

"Cause i think people will umm.. notice you more when you're trying to hide your face and stuff" she attempts to explain quickly.

I nod once understanding what she meant, i pull my hood back a little, my eyes aren't covered under the hood now.

For some reason it feels nice, i can look around better and see everything, not just the view of my feet as i walk.

Usually when i walk around in public completely alone –which happens rarely– i don't left my eyes off my feet.

I can't pinpoint what the reason is, it might be because if I accidentally look at someone then there's more chance that they'll recognize me and start taking pictures and calling my name.

Or it might be because I'm being careful of what I'm stepping on.

I like meeting fans and taking pictures with them and seeing how happy they get when they see me in public.
It's actually one of my favorite things to do.

But sometimes it gets out of hand, and I especially don't want that to get out of hand, since y/n is here.
I don't wanna ruin her vacation here by involving her in these things.

So I thought of taking here somewhere, at first it was as a 'thank you' for her help, it really means a lot that she offered to help when she could have just left.
I thought it could be an apology too for wasting her vacation time when she could have had fun rather than being stuck in her hotel room for a whole day with me –a person she just met who is practically a stranger.

But now that i think of it, I'm doing this because i wanna spend more time with her.
I'm admitting it to myself.

It's hard for me to make friends outside of the group since I'm busy all the time because of my career.
And even if i do happen to make a friend i can rarely meet them or talk to them or keep in touch with them, then not long after it's like we both forget we even met.

So I'm taking her to igidae coastal walk now, because i wanna make the most of the time i have with her.
I know I won't see her again, i know I won't forget this encounter, but i wanna make sure she doesn't.

Her I voice suddenly brings me out of my thoughts "so where are we going?" She asked excitedly.

I chuckled at her excitement and glanced at her as she almost jumped as she walked beside me "I'll take you to a place called igidae coastal walk... have you heard of it?"

She gasped in surprise which had me twitch in fright.

"I found it when i was searching for places to visit in busan, i planned a whole day for it! If i only brought my camera though!! It would have been..."

She suddenly stopped i looked over at her and she seemed like she's thinking of something.
Then she made i contact "what's that word everyone says when something is so amazing and just-"
"Daebak?" I held back my laughter.

She nodded enthusiastically while walking faster to catch up to my strides since she slowed down while thinking.

"It would have been daebak!!" She finished off her sentence with a proud smile.

Her enthusiasm instantly started rubbing off on me.
I unconsciously started smiling the whole way there.

When we got there by taxi since it was a little far to walk.
There weren't alot of people at this time of the day.
It didn't seem new only to y/n, i felt like it's the first time i come here.
I haven't been here in years.
It looks like it changed but it still somehow the same.

She smiled the biggest smile I've ever seen so far.
We walked on the wooden trail slowly, not missing out on the scenery.

We then stopped to take pictures of the sea view as the waves hit the rocks in front of us.

She was quietly admiring the view as i took a step back to snap a picture of the whole view in front of me.

She leaned on the railing and looked back at me, then she smiled and closed her eyes as the wind started fanning her face.

I looked back at my phone screen and took another picture of her in it.
I don't know why.
I just did.

She ran to my side and angled her face to see the picture i took.
"Aww.. could you send it to me please?" she squeals in excitement.

"Sure" I almost instantly say.
I sent her the picture after she gave me her korean phone number.

She leaned against the railing again and i did the same.

She suddenly looked towards me and smiled appreciatively "thank you so much-"
My phone rings all of a sudden, i gestured for her to wait as I accept the call.
Which was from namjoon hyung.
I furrowed my brows in curiosity.
We don't call each other when we're on breaks we only text.

"Jungkook-ah, what the hell are you doing? Where are you?" He cries out.
