Chapter31: goodbye?

Y/n's POV..

I quietly walked out of the practice room after contemplating whether I should tell them that I'm leaving the room or not, but then decided not to disturb them while they're practicing.

As soon as I closed the door behind me, I started running to the back door of the building.

He's finally here!

I opened the door when I reached it and immediately could identify daehyun.

Even though he stood further away from the door and wasn't even facing my direction until he heard the door open, I've known him long enough to know the way he stood when he's waiting and his style and taste in clothes and a lot of other things.

I ran up to him before I could even think of anything and hugged him so tight.

"Omg! Daehyun you're finally here! Took you long enough!"

He chuckled at my action and hugged me back as i sighed in relief.

I was definitely relieved now that he's here just not as much as i thought i'd be.

I pulled away mirroring his bright smile, he pulled my hand and started walking towards the street, away from the building.

"Let's go!" He said when he noticed I wasn't really moving.

"No, wait! I..umm... i wanna thank them first." I said and lowered my voice as i spoke realizing what i'm saying.

I know I definitely wanna thank them, so much.

But I don't know if that is really why i'm going back in there.

"Alright then" he said simply and walked to the back door i just came from.

I didn't think he'd come with me but I didn't object.

We walked into the building, i kind of preferred to not be seen by staff members or anything, because I didn't want them to think i was way too comfortable here and have the ability to bring someone in and do whatever i want, I didn't want them to think any worse of me, I didn't wanna leave bad impressions even though i'm leaving probably in less than 24 hours.

I quickly pulled him by the hand, cause i know if i let go of it he'll just wander around wherever he wants, that's daehyun.

After a minute or so, I stopped- or we stopped in front of the practice room door, i felt kind of nervous to see them for some reason, probably even more than the first time i met them, hence why I hadn't turned the doorknob yet, i was rethinking my decision to come back in here and thought that if i had just left it would be better.

I stopped my thoughts and Just before I could lift my hand to open the door..

It suddenly bursts open almost hitting me as it did so.

Jungkook's face came into view but his eyes were set behind me, where daehyun stood.

After he scanned daehyun for a while his eyes moved down.

His expression changed to one that represented confusion and amusement at the same time.

Before I start thinking why, I noticed that his eyes were on mine and daehyun's connected hands.

I didn't realize that our hands were still joined so i let go of his hand almost immediately.

I've never done that before since daehyun and i are completely comfortable with holding hands and hugging since we've been best friends for a couple of years, but i did it now because for some reason i felt like i had to, like it was the right thing to do.

"Hi" daehyun greeted jungkook cheerfully, completely ignoring the tension and awkwardness that floods the air around the three of us.

And jungkook looked at him like he has a third eye on his forehead.

"Umm hi." Said jungkook with not even a quarter of the excitement daehyun greeted him with.

His eyes momentarily glanced at me before looking back at daehyun.

"I came to take y/n back with me, but she wanted to come back to thank you guys, so...yeah, i'm daehyun by the way." He literally spilled it all even before jungkook asked or said anything at all.

I thought that i'd just do what i think i came back for.

"Thank you so much, jungkook, for all the help, i really appreciate it, and sorry for the trouble i caused, I'll be leaving now, so bye.. i guess." I said as i bowed to him slightly with a smile on my face.

"No problem at all, y/n, it was nice meeting you." He said shortly and i can barely tell if he smiled back at me.

I felt a tap on my upper arm and I turned my head to see daehyun.

I almost forgot that he's here.

"I'll wait for you at the back door, ok?" He told me almost in a whisper before he walked away, not before he winked at me and gestured towards jungkook with his eyes.

I almost rolled my eyes at him but i was so fixated on this guy in front of me.

Even after i had thanked him and everything, i still feel like i forgot something or there's something that i have to do other than that.

Now i'm sure that coming back in here instead of just leaving was definitely not because i only wanted to thank him and apologize for all the trouble i caused him.

And he just seemed to stand there too, we're not saying anything but it just feels like there is something that both of us wanna say but neither of us are speaking... or leaving.

The problem is that i have no idea what it is..

"Y/n.." he mumbled quietly while looking at me like he's talking to me through his eyes.

"Are you just gonna leave?" He asked like he didn't hear what i said a minute ago, like he really wanted me to answer him.

So i did.

"Yes, i have to visit m-" i was interrupted before I could finish my sentence.

I blinked a few times to make sure it wasn't all in my head.

That I wasn't just imagining his muscular arms wrapped around me with his body pressed closely against mine, his warmth seeping through him and his scent surrounding me.

I couldn't help but let a smile on my face as wrap my arms around him too.

I'm only probably halfway through the story, so it's not ending anytime soon.
