Chapter45: expecting the unexpected.

Y/n's POV..

"I can't i have a final exam that day." I whined trying to convince Daehyun over the phone.

"Well.. it's your loss." He said nonchalantly but i was so sure that he wouldn't stop trying to get me to agree.

I rolled my eyes "I'm sooo sorry, i really want to."

I could've just said that I couldn't and apologize but that would only work if it was anyone else other than Daehyun.

With him he has to be 100% convinced to assure that he won't show up in my exam hall next week monday to drag me out to the 'surprise' he had planned for me.

"I'm absolutely positively that you'll love it." He said with so much confidence.

"What is it?" I asked, my curiosity getting the best of me.

"Ooohh no no no!!" He almost yelled at me through the phone causing me to wince at his sudden loud voice.

"Your stupid ass thought i was stupid enough to tell you?" He stated more than asked.

I slumped my shoulders in defeat "what do you want me to do?" I asked.

"You can tell the professor or whatever to take your exam a day before or a day after." He suggested the stupidest thing.

"I can't. you know him, he's gonna think I'm cheating or telling the others the exam questions." I whined.

"Can't you show me another day?" I suggested hoping he would agree and then I could resume studying in peace.

"Umm..." he pretended to think for a second before answering. "No." He said stubbornly.

I groaned in frustration knowing that if I don't find out whatever he's planning i won't be able to study then I'll fail then I'll have to retake-

"Why does it have to be that day?!!" I exclaimed in dissatisfaction.

He chuckled almost evilly "now that you're curious, wouldn't you want to know what's happening that day?" He teased.

"Ok.. alright, look.. why don't you let me study now so i do well on the test and leave early then you can show me whatever you're planning." I suggested and sighed, hoping he would be okay with it.

"When does your exam start next monday?" He asked with a bit of unusual seriousness that rarely comes from him in all almost 3 years I've known him.

"Umm.. it starts at 3:00pm." I said looking back at the sticky note on my notes that I've written the date, time, and hall on.

He sighed indicating that he had given up on trying to convince me.

"Alright then, Call me when you finish taking your exam and it better be before 4:30." He said softly but with a warning tone at the end.

"Ok." I chuckled at sudden his change of mood.

"Study hard and ask for help if you need it, it's not like I'll be any help but I'll find a way. It's your last one so give it your all." He said with his occasional motherly-advice voice.

"Alright, mom." I replied jokingly with a appreciative smile on my face.

I hung up after that and resumed my studying with the thought of Daehyun's surprise at the back of my mind.

I've been trying to keep Daehyun's surprise that he wouldn't stop talking about at the back of my head since I couldn't keep it out of my thoughts completely.
