"MAN, ALL THESE REFUGEES," Andy sighs as we walk up the stairs carrying a bunch of items for the new mutants that have arrived for safety "Glad we beat the rush. At least we got, like, actual beds."
"You do realize we're the reason there is a rush, right? Sentinel Services have been freaking out over us. It's kind of all our fault," Lauren scoffs.
"Yeah, thanks for the guilt trip," Andy rolls his eyes "You want to give up your bed?"
Lauren and I give him a look before he surrendered "I know. Shut up and get more water," he walks away with his hands up.
"Good boy," I chuckle.
"Go check on him," Lauren says "and no funny business."
"Yeah, yeah," I give her the middle finger before walking away but saw a guy staring directly at her so I walked back and whispered, "Boy staring at 7 o'clock."
I quickly run away catching up to Andy but ended up down the bottom of the stairs and didn't see him anywhere near the water. I felt a presence behind me before their hands made their way onto my waist and picked me up turned me around in the air and somehow catching me. I let out a squeal as my eyes meet theirs which earned them a punch "Andy! Don't scare me like that," I exclaim.
"Oh, come on Abella. It was funny," he smiles letting me down.
"No, it was not," I frown faking my anger.
"Wait, are you actually angry? I'm sorry," Andy begs as I turn my back to him giving him the silent treatment. I walk towards the cases of water in silence. Andy's footsteps vigorously echo between us. I reach for the cases but didn't catch it because I was turned around. Now I was leaning back on the table as Andy's body towards me. The shine in his eyes sparkled. I didn't realize how close we were until our noses touched.
