The day passed by and the night was much calmer. Alicia, Courtney and Oliver had a walk to the nearest restaurant to buy a takeout, since we don't wanna eat anymore burnt hotdogs. We know, we are no chef so we need to stop the pretending.

Jake was laying by my side, when Brandon just got out the tent. I didn't know that Jake was asleep. Brandon stood, and walked to my direction. Hands inside his pockets, as his feet kicks the sands.

"Hey!" He shouted, but his voice was still calmed. I sat up and looked at him, my eyes narrowed at him. Was he really calling me? "Come walk with me."

He was not asking, he clearly wants me to walk with him. I had no choice, and maybe this could be the right time to make things right. I got up, pulling a cover past Jake's shoulders. I kissed his forehead before getting up.

He walked fast and I had to ran to catch up with him. There are other young people camping on this side of the beach. They are having fun while someone was singing, playing with a guitar in their group.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked him as I calmed my breath.

"You're ignoring me." I said, but he said, "You're ignoring me." We did at the same time.

We both chuckled, and this should be a good start. "I'm not ignoring you, I'm just scared you might not want to be friends with me." I confessed, because that's the truth.

"Well, I guess we think the same way." Does that mean, he thought I don't want to be friends with him? "Sorry, 'bout not telling you about Alicia. I dated her after I asked...you to go out with. Which you rejected." I crossed my arms over my chest.

"I never rejected you. Remember, I went out with your family to dinner?" I rolled my eyes, even though he won't see that.

"I know.."

"We still have a problem." I declared, stoppin him on his tracks, staring at me intently.

"What problem?" He furrows his brows as he ran his fingers on his hair, messing it.

"Your dad invited my family to dinner, they think we're dating. You should just tell them we're not really dating. What if Alicia finds out? I don't want this to get worse." I sighed, "They're thinking about us... something we're completely not. Don't false hope you parents, especially Diane, she's a good woman, Brand."

"I know, it's just that, I'm really expecting that it was going to be you. I mean, the girl I'm going to go to dinner with my family every sunday, the girl who would go out on a date with me, the girl who would make my heart skip a beat everytime I see her, the girl I would seriously love until the rest of my..." He trailed off. Woah, woah, woah, I didn't know Brandon James would like to find love at such a young age. He can't be that serious right?

"Except that that girl wasn't me. It's Alicia now. So you better tell your parents the truth." I speak softly, and now, all we heard was our breathing. I bit onto my lower lip, waiting for his response, but all I got are hands encircling my waist, pulling me closer, our bodies clashed as his lips crashed on mine.

My hand ached after it made contact with Brandon's stoned face. "I-I'm sorry..." I stuttered, he's face looked completely shocked and hurt. As if he was not hurt by the slap, but by the fact that I didn't returned his kiss.

I started to make my way back when his hands captured me. Embracing me tightly. "Please, Amy. I'm sorry, I just love you so much, it hurts. It hurts everytime I see you with Jake. It's like stabbing me, again and again." He sobbed, and I can't help but embrace him back.

"You should have told me that before you dated Alicia."

"I already tried, but you rejected me, you picked Jake instead of me!" He growled.

"I never picked Jake, we're just friends okay? But you're with Alicia now. And I don't want you to break her heart because of me. Please. We're still bestfriends, right?" He nodded his head slowly, finally letting go of me.

"Sorry, I cried." He said as he chuckled.

"I already saw you cry, once you lost your bumble-bee figure that costs hundreds." I made him chuckle, remembering our past.

"But this time I cried because I lost you." He added.

"You never lost me, I'm still your bff no matter what happens. I love you." And I kissed his cheek, making him smile again. There were butterflies in my stomach, and I did my best to hide my state of being uncomfortable with him. He said he loves me. I do too. But what about Alicia? We held hands as we walked back. I kept asking myself if my decisions right, well, I guess so? I thought about it again until we reached our camp.

"Hey, where did you two go?" Alicia asked, looking at me suspiciously. And I remembered our entwined hands and I immediately freed my hand on his hold.

"My bestfriend and I just had a walk." Brandon answered, saving me. But what he said was truth. I hope, our holding hands would never be an issue to them.

I went to Courtney's side, she looked at me as her eyes twinkles. "What did you guys do? As disgusting as this may sound for me, am I going to be an aunt?" She whispered.

I rolled my eyes at her, "No, sorry. I just got my bestfriend back, and what you want is impossible."

"Right..killjoy." She said, before going back to where Oliver was sitting.

I sat beside Jake. "So..." He started saying and I finished it off.

"Me and Brandon are okay now. Now it's your turn, go tell him later." I leaned on his shoulder, and he puts his hand behind my back to support my slumping posture.

"Later, promise." He said, winking at me.

We packed our things and put it back on our cars' trunks' before lunch and off we go back home. Our weekend had been fun. It also was the most special since Brandon, Jake and I are back to being friends again.

No words can express how I felt. Now back to the problem at hand.

"Sheila's going to have a party this tuesday? Who's up for it?" Courtney shouted as Millie, Kate and I exchanged knowing glances, while shaking our heads.
