Page|3: What rumors?

This could be the start of something new.

And no, I was not quoting Zac Efron's song in High School Musical, though, that was my favorite show back then.

I entered the cafeteria, and the strong smell of smoke, made me cover my nose. I spotted Kate and Mil on our usual seat. Of course, at the back, where no one could easily see, and bother us. This had been our seat since first year. I ran up to them, and they looked at me smiling. When I got closer, I saw a familiar girl sat with them, her back facing me. I hope it's not her, but as I got closer, my hope dwindled. I knew it's her.

"Hi." my word sounded like a question. What's she doing with my bestfriends?

"Oh. My. God. You're here!" she stood and hugged me, awkward because some of the students looked at us. And I'm not used to this.

"Yeah, what's up?" I asked her.

We took our seat, and Courtney started talking, as I eat my homemade sandwhich.

"I have a surprise for you." I frowned, Kate and Millie chuckles a little. Courtney can sure act like a kid sometimes. "I will be in all of your classes now!" she squealed. Annoying as it is, I still fake a smile. Kate and Mil, noticed my reaction, and they pursed their mouths into a thin line. Meaning, their mouths are going to be shut about this. I just unwrapped my sandwich and took a bite. "We are going to have so much fun together!" she added.

"Together!"

I choked on my sandwhich, while her words echoed on my mind. Millie handed me her orange juice, and she rubbed my back up and down.

I pushed the door, and it opened suddenly. I peek, and heard voices murmuring. I stepped inside and closed the door.

I saw Kate, Courtney, and Millie, indian sitting on the couch of Kate's living room. I suddenly felt a pang of jealousy towards Courtney. Why does she have to intrude in my life? She's stealing my friends away from me.

"Why did you guys tell me to come here?" I asked Millie and Kate.

"Well, I told them we'd hang out." Courtney said, tapping on the space beside her. I walked and sat on her bed beside her.
"Well, I know this may sound weird. But, I want to confess something to all of you." I looked at my bestfriends and they frowned at me, I should listen...she looked sincere anyway.

"I had a boyfriend. I already think you know what happened..based on the rumors.." what? What rumors?

"What rumors?" I asked.

"Yeah, we never know a rumor about you." Millie added.

"Because we never cared about what the rumors are anyway." Kate said.

"What? O-okay. So, I'll just tell you." she shrugged herself and started telling us stories.
