"What the hell did you just do, Jake?" I hissed at him, though I see that he regrets it, and he's sorry, I'm still snapping at him.
"I'm sorry, Amy. It's just that Brandon ticks me off. I know he's playing a game. And he wants me to lose it." What the hell was he talking about? "More of like to lose someone. But you see I'm a very hard-headed person, and I like to stay that way."
"What do you mean?" I asked him.
"Can you not see it? He's totally jealous of me. He is, because I have you. That's why he's dating that brunette, to piss you off. To make you go after him, if you go...I lose."
"Not making sense, Jake!"
He pulled over outside my house. The lights were already off. Maybe mom and dad were already asleep.
"Just go with me. And we'll flip this whole thing, and we make him come after you, not the other way around." He said sincerely, his hands found mine. Warmth flowed from him to mine.
"I don't really get it, why you're helping me, when instead you should be dating me." My heart beats and I stared into his blue eyes. One look and you'll know he's sincere and sad.
"I don't know, it's just that I think this is the right thing to do." He answered softly.
I didn't know what happened but I leaned closer to him, and I crashed my lips on his. He hesitated to kiss me at first, but his hands pressed the back of my head, urging to go further.
I pulled away. "I'm sorry. I just..I-I.." I stuttered. Shit. Why am I stuttering? And I can't find the words to say. Why did I kiss him? I don't know. He looked away but I know he was smirking.
"Yeah, it's alright." He answered, then I made my way out his car. I gave him one last wave before I had gone inside the house. I peeked through the curtains and saw him drive away. I didn't know that I was smiling to myself.

My phone's alarm wake me out of my snoozing. I should have changed my alarm tone to something different. The train's honk was really irritating, annoying the shit out of me.
I lazily went to the bathroom, took a shower, put on a ripped jeans and long sleeve blouse. I slipped on a pair if ankle boots-which Courtney brought for me-again. I put on a little lip gloss, and brown eyeliner to enhance my eyes.
I looked at myself infront of the mirror and I looked alright. Voices of my mom and dad can be heard from here. "Hey! Morning!" I greeted the both of them.
"Hey, kiddo. How are you?" My dad asked as he glance at me through his newspaper.
"Same." I shrugged and my mom placed a plate of omelette and toast infront of me.
"So...any guys?" Dad added. So that's it. He's just asking if I have a boyfriend now. I know they're not really interested with my life at school as long as I am doing fine with my grades. But his sudden question was really putting me out of the box.
"Uhm.." I don't know what to say.
"Just spill, honey." Mom smiled at me as she sits with us.
"Oh, okay...so..I think I'm dating my classmate, Jake." I answered, which was half the truth.
"Do you like him?" Mom asked again.
"Ah, I like him. But you know that relationships in high school are not really that serious, so you shouldn't freak out." I told them my face in a frown.
"Strange.." Dad started while bringing his face back to his newspaper.
"What?" I asked him.
"Oh, it's just..I thought you were dating James." He looked at me, confused.
"Uhm..where did you get that story?" My hands found another toast and I indulge my tongue with its rough, putrid taste.
"Just that..Mr. Hype told me you went to dinner with them, and they're inviting us next weekend."
"Okay, Amelia, now I'm confused." Mom confessed.
"Ah, me too?" I said before saying 'bye,' then I stood and left.
