At around midday, I was starting to feel woozy under Glaedis' affects. I conjured a hairband and made a simple ponytail, braiding it so that it wouldn't fall everywhere. I took off my vest and stored it in the storage, rolled up the cuffs of my white shirt and buttoned them. My dark brown pants also got rolled up so much that I looked like I was about to walk through a river, wedges looking weird as I worked like that. Since they looked so weird, I abandoned them and went barefoot. I thought I could tough it out, ignore the bleary-eyed stares of my patients, but it didn't work. I'm more fashion conscious since coming to this world, I have a family with a reputation I somehow have to uphold even at my young age.

I got most of the people off the street, only three children left and then I would move inside and conk out in Adoray's office for a nap. Then, I would move on to Section B.

The people were grateful and thanking me, and this time I was smiling and accepting their gratitude while denying their promises to make it up to me.

"I couldn't sit back and watch you all on the street. I feel bad for making you wait even this long," I apologized, shaking my head.

"Zuelis bless you," some woman who hadn't been in control of her numb left hand for three years now grasped mine with both of hers and shook it hard with her right hand. Probably to reassure herself it actually worked.

I only smiled bitterly as I thought of an evil ward sign in my mind. Those gods...they can take their "blessings" and fly very far away, to another planet preferably. Actually, just die. It's make me very happy.

Is that contradictory to my healing actions up till now? Probably.

I still smiled warmly and waved her on her way, sending many people off like that and not wandering off to faint before they could say a word.

There were tears on some people's faces, those who hadn't been able to hear, see, or feel before checking out new stuff with each other and making faces, giggling themselves to death as they checked out their appearances in a fountain in the middle of the town square or realized how terrible their singing was after all these years.

It really brought joy to my heart to see such silly things, especially seeing them walk off truly joyful themselves. I never thought I would get to see something like that, after all the long days and nights of studying I did. I never knew it would come into fruition in such a vivid and amazing way.

When the last of the people left, I wiped away one tear having fulfilled one dream that seemed impossible before.

Then, my lungs absorbed a big breath and pushed it out as I steadied my balance, my soul, my emotions, and headed back into the hospital building that was two stories tall.

No one was on duty, which I found peculiar again. The only staff members I had ever seen this whole time were Debrah and Adoray, maybe a new nurse hear and there, but no one else. Were they understaffed? Or were they sent away to another worse hospital?

That hospital would have to be extremely bad to leave hundreds of patients here in dire straits with only a handful of staff. Or, were those injured Church members voluntary members that counted as hospital workers, unable to do anything because of their own injuries?

Either way, I would not go near them. Thinking about how they could be harming the town with my hypothesis earlier about hoarding potions and judging off of personal experience, showing off my skills to them in plain sight was like a death flag or something. As soon as I learned a few things here and there, made sure everyone was okay, and secured any supplies I might need for my trip, I would take off to probably never be seen again in this town.
