"Get up, sleeping beauty, the day's going to start in an hour! You have to get ready before then, or the planning will be for naught!" I called out threateningly. I only got five hours of sleep last night, and I was not happy. I know I didn't need to sleep, but I liked to dream. Now, I would never get to finish that sushi roll or win the contest for 100,000 yen...

"What the...? I'm not dreaming?!" Uh, I'm in your dreams? Probably as someone coming to kill him, and since "nightmaring" isn't a word, I must assume I was in his nightmares and he had to say "dreaming." "Knight! What're you doing in my bedroom!"

The king had called out from his bed, having jolted awake. He looked positively dead, hair sticking up in a very un-kingly way. I resisted laughing at how easily I'd been able to turn his life upside down. I loved being Knight.

"Here to get you up early to start the day! We don't want you to mess up, so I came to review the plan with you early!" My senses flared up when they detected the smell of human nervousness. "Ah, the smell of one prominent kind of fear. Never fails to get me happy!"

"Wha...?" He fell back into his bed since he was dizzy. This is why people are meant to take their time rising from their beds, so they don't almost knock themselves out on a bedpost.

I caught his head just in time, [Wind Feet] used to zoom forward and lift my hand.

"I said, get up. Not fall down."

"Are you crazy? I still have three more hours to sleep!" He looked outside and saw the moon was still out through his sun blocking curtains.

"And? There are only ten hours of nighttime, and since there is one hour till dawn, you need to be awake now so you are ready to start the day when the day itself starts. That's just the way things work."

"For you, maybe, but I value sleep. Come back in two hours, then you'll have me fully awake and able to stick to the plan," he slid back in bed and pulled the covers way up.

...

"You dare to ignore me?"

"Ah come on," he muttered before I teleported over him.

He noticed there was somewhat of a chilly air all of a sudden, and noticed it was only by his face.

My face was right in front of it, and I was laying on an air platform so I didn't have to bend down.

My mana was leaking out again...

And I wasn't happy.

"You know, you don't really need sleep to get energy. That's just a thing adults are saying these days," I reached my hand down and put a finger on his nose. He was completely still, wondering cautiously what I was going to do next. "A good friend of mine tried to pull the same crap with me. Let's just say it didn't really work."

Well, Kitri was actually allowed to sleep for many hours due to my mercy and didn't try to fall back to sleep after I allotted him some time.

But you get the point.

"Ouch!" He exclaimed when I poured a few HP into him. I floated back and he was shivering in his pajamas-for some reason it struck me as odd that the king had proper pajamas-because of the sudden electric shock. "What was that?!"

"A wake up call. You won't even be able to go to sleep if you tried," I shrugged haplessly with a smirk. Believe me, it really works.

"Damn it..." He mumbled after testing it out. "Why do I feel so energetic right now?"
