Dung beetles.

Saying goodbye to them is difficult. I mean, I need tons of reasons, excuses, and lies to convince them.

"Why so sudden?" Amelia asked.

"Eli, Cass already told me about her family matter. You need to understand that." Auntie Amor said. Then she asked me. "But your school..."

"My father's servant already took care of it. He finishes tasks ahead than you expected. So probably, he already pulled me out this morning." I explained.

My records will be removed completely at the school, and there would be no traces left.

My existence as Cassandra Di Leone, a student in that University, will be gone like a dissipating smoke.

"I'm really sorry guys. I need to go. That was unexpected on my side, but I need to be with him. He's been long gone and he's asking for my presence."

"For a rich kid, you don't act like one." Amelia's brother—Andrew—said.

"And for a guy like you, you act like a rich kid." Amelia retorted back.

I smirked. I don't have problems with Andrew. He's a bit nice, and he doesn't get in my way.

Frankenstein entered the scene. "Young lady, we need to hurry." He gave a curt bow towards Amelia and her family.

Amelia blushed at Frankenstein. She's swooped by him. Too bad, that man is so loyal to the bone to dad.

"Whatever, Franky," I mumbled under my breath as I walked past him.

"Call us if you have time, Cass." Uncle Avery said as I entered the limo they rented. I nodded in response.

"So that's it?" Frankenstein said.

I raised an eyebrow.

"What, you want a farewell party or something?" I said flatly.

"You didn't say goodbye on them."

"They don't like goodbyes. They believe I will come back. And I don't say things like that." I glance at the window. "I need to talk to my lawyer. I'm going to sell my condo and car here."

"Make him come to Korea talk over those things."

"No need. I'll call him later."

Dad kept on staring at me like I might disappear if he blinked.

"I won't disperse in wind, dad. I'm here." I said.

"..."

What to expect? He's really like that.

The silence continued until we reached the airport.

Frankenstein was about to rent a private jet when I stopped him.

"Just wait here. I'm going to call the pilot." I walked towards the entrance and the guards let me in without question.

In a few minutes of conversing over the phone, the plane came. I headed out to fetch them.

"Here's my plane. Just tell Charles where we will land." I told Frankenstein, his mouth open like a door.

"Cassandra!" A man wearing a white polo shirt greeted by the door of the plane.

I rolled my eyes. "For the --"

"I know. I'm just teasing you, Cassielle." He chuckled. "Anyway, where are you going this time? You never went to a business trip for three years. It's too sudden."

"I'm going home. Anyway, this Frankenstein and my dad." I said as I point who's who.

"Hello, sirs. I'm Charles Jackson, at your service." He bowed.

"He didn't freak out that master is your dad," Frankenstein said.

"He knows," I answered.

"What?!" Frankenstein almost screamed.

"He's dead. For a century."

"B-but h-he's t-there." He stuttered.

"Because he wants to."

Father walked towards the stairs and entered the plane. "Thank you for taking care of her."

"I should be the one who's thanking her. She gave me a second chance to live, although it's not normal, at least I can still see the world." Charles chuckled.

A steward guides dad inside the plane. I entered the plane, ending my debate with Frankenstein.

"So, where are we staying, milady?" Charles asked me.

"In ******, Korea." Frankenstein answered.

Charles nodded in recognition and went to the cockpit.

In just two hours, we're already in Korea. And it's spring that time. So it's about cold climate.

Frankenstein and dad already went out when I reminded Charles about the plane.

"Charles, tell our branch company that we'll be here in decades, so the plane will stay here. I'm going to buy you a house near. Got that?"

He saluted and winked. "Yes, milady!"

We traveled on foot. Which is the simplest term, we use the rooftops of tall buildings to reach the neighborhood of Frankenstein. And it's darn far from the airport.

We stopped in a modern architecture house. Frankenstein stopped and turned towards me and bowed. "Welcome to my humble abode, young lady."

Dad holds the knob. But he didn't turn it.

"How many nobles are residing with you?" I asked. I sensed faint presences of nobles within the perimeters of the house.

"There's a three clan leader and the grandson of Gejutel," Frankenstein answered. "And three enhanced humans."

"Where are they?"

"All here." A lively voice answered from the balcony. The guy has a white streak in his bangs, covering his eyes. Beside him, there's two male.

Obviously, they're the enhanced humans he's talking about.

"There's no class during weekends. That's obvious for high school." Still cheery, he answered.

I ignored him and glanced towards Frankenstein.

"I want a personal house here. I don't want to overcrowd your place."

"No." Frankenstein and dad both said.

For the record, they both speak at the same time. The first time in my memory.

"Master needs you. We three knows about that, right?" Frankenstein said. "Besides, there's plenty of rooms here. I can accommodate up to thirty persons."

I glanced at my dog. He doesn't seem to care, being used to living in different places every ten years.

Dad opened the door and gestured at me to go inside.

The place was spacious compared to the exterior of the house.

Dad grabbed my shoulders and steered me towards the sitting room where there's a girl and three boys sitting and not talking.

They're about to stand up and greet when they saw me and dad behind me.

I remove my contact lenses, which is color brown and stare at them to reveal my crimson red iris. Just like theirs.

Dad pulled me towards the chair to sit as he sits at the middle. My dog jumped to my lap to take a nap. Frankenstein sat beside me, then a nobleman beside him than the three youngsters at our front. The enhanced humans are also there, standing behind the youngsters.

And the million dollar question came from the frail-looking blonde emo kid beside the white-haired girl.

"Who are you?"
