The dreaded moment has come.

Jason started terrorizing places in Korea.

He's planning to conquer this country first before the others, in the belief that it will make me surrender.

And the bad news is, he really did collaborate with the Union. There are few elders left on that organization, but that didn't make them cower in defeat, after Dad and Frankenstein defeat them, leaving no trace for them to know who exactly done the intervention.

I'm just lucky I stayed at a peaceful place for a few years.

But now, I'm going to engage in a battle that can cause some abnormal disturbances at the country.

The nobles become more alert, as what had happened to the humans the other day.

They skip school sometimes to scout around for sudden changes. I ask them to do it to prevent some unexpected attacks coming.

Some members of the Union are a bit psychopaths when it comes to killing.

They really do think it's bloodlust and killing intent, but it isn't.

They looked like an escaped patient of an asylum. Seriously.

My exact description would be: they are spoiled brats that was given everything they requested of, got insane then sent to the asylum, and escaped.

If you think it's brutal, it isn't. I'm just stating facts from my head.

"What are you gonna do now, Cass?" Daniel asked out of nowhere.

Shiro, Daniel, Charles, Nico and I were sitting in a quiet place in the city. A park of nature.

And our gathering is not just a bonding time, but also a war meeting.

Unfortunately, I can't make Shiro enter dining as they don't allow pets there, so I decided to buy some foods and put a picnic blanket in the park under a starry night.

"The night is so peaceful. Like a storm coming." I answered while taking a look up at the sky. "Any day, it will start."

"Is that the only way?"

I sighed. "Yes, unfortunately. I really wish that there's another way, but I don't want to endanger anyone because of me. I don't want to be like Uncle Musaka. He's blinded because of his rage to humans for killing Ashleen. I haven't met the kid myself, but when I saw Uncle fetch Dad to see the girl, he really loves the child.

"That's why when she died, Uncle was so angry that he even hurt Dad and almost killed him. Dad didn't want me to intervene with the fight, that's why I don't know what happened to them when Dad disappeared."

Charles looked at me, trying to understand.

"But if ever I can revive him from death Charles, will you let me?"

Charles shook his head. "I won't stop you Cass. If you want to be with him, I won't stop you. If you want to revive him, I don't care as long as you're happy."

"But, are you prepared to end the contract?" I asked him.

The three of them have different contracts from me. Charles will obtain his eternal peace if we defeated Jason.

Daniel will also have his peace if he had exacted his revenge to his killer. So as Nico.

And Shiro will perish if he asked me to. But he hadn't yet even if I tried to persuade him.

"I just want to set him straight, that bastard, from his mistakes before. You told him what you are, and so to us. But he didn't understand it like the way we Amanda did. I'm sure if Amanda is here, she'll say the same thing." He smiled.

"Thank you, Charles. For cheering me up." I said.

He chuckled. "You might look like emotionless like your father, at least we know what you feel. Your so-called 'turmoil' inside you, we can also feel it. I'm glad that the connection isn't one-way."

Darn with the contract. There's no freaking privacy.

I sighed. "For now, let's pluck some weeds. It's better that we eliminate them quietly so that it won't raise an alarm to the Union. Those bastards are sly; it's better that we die than them to be reduced in numbers."

"When?" Nico asked. For a kid, he sure so excited for these matters.

"Midnight, where they also both active and not at the same time."

Bringing all the weapon is not handy, especially if they're still not in their weapon form.

So in order to lessen the noise, I summoned them to weapons and brought all of them.

I strapped Shiro (Army knife) at my left thigh.

Nico (ninjato) was behind me.

Charles (gun) is in a holster, at my left side.

And lastly, Daniel (katana) is on my right side.

I'm heavily armed like I'm prepared for the next day that whoever will try to kill me.

I snuck out of the house silently and start scouting at the city, where most people stays and having a nightlife.

Of course, not just humans are the ones walking at night. Some nobles went out of Lukedonia to settle down beside humans, trying to live normally.

I've been in contact with them for several decades, checking whether there's any problem in the human world that can be caused by us.

And I'm glad Erga did her job well.

So, what now? Daniel asked.

I glanced at the katana strapped at my right. "Just watch. Inside the crowd, there's always a suspicious activity happening. And watch out for that."

Sure thing, there's a group of people -- four people -- isolated themselves from the crowd and went to a site.

The unoccupied buildings are the best place to hide if you're a con or somewhat not ordinary in human's eyes.

And they sure look suspicious with their normal reaction and their body language.

I grinned widely. I got a prey at the first hunt in the city.

"Boys, I've got the target. Ready to play?"

Everyone was so ecstatic when I found the target. I jumped to the next building, swiftly and quiet enough so that they wouldn't sense my presence as I come near and deliver their slow death.
