Monday.
Start of school.
And start of the problem.
Actually, it's my problem for almost two centuries.
Because I thought he'd lost his interest at me.
But he didn't.
And he found me here, with my father.
I almost panicked because if ever he found out whom I interacted for the past years, I'm sure he'll do something that can disrupt the events.
We're on the way to the gates of school to go straight to Frankie's house when I saw him leaning at the gate.
All the girls were ogling at him. Sure, to their eyes he's good-looking. But when you know him more, he's ugly inside.
"Long time no see, Cassielle." He said in his oh-so-soothing voice he usually uses to lure someone to his baits.
"What are you doing here?" I asked sternly.
"That's cold, love. After all this time, you're still like that? Is it because of 'that?'" He said.
He pissing me to lose control of my emotions. He knows me and when to strike.
"Leave me alone, Jason. You're not that guy I've known before. You're different."
"I assure you, love. I'm still me."
"The Jason I knew wasn't a greedy and a bloodthirsty monster I'm talking to right now," I said. "Leave now."
"Or else what?" He mocked me. "You're going to kill me? Aw, come on! You can't do that to me! I mean, you can't even kill a fly with your abilities and skills, much less me?"
"Get out of my sight. I mean it." I said, keeping my anger at the bay. "Go ahead and think what you want to think, but I assure you if you piss me, you'll be sorry you crossed me."
"No. Way." He said. "You're mine, Cass. Remember that."
"What are you? A freaking wolf? Declaring someone like a property? Go away, Jason. I'm in no mood to play games with you."
"Man, can you just leave Cass alone? Don't you see, she doesn't like you! Stop being a desperate jackass and leave." Shinwoo intervened.
Jason glared at him. "Who are you? Her boyfriend?"
"No. Her friend. Now, let's make this in a diplomatic way. Don't disturb Cass anymore and everyone will be happy. Got that?" Shinwoo suggested.
But that idea made Jason smirk. "Sorry kiddo. That can't do. I've already decided. She's mine!"
This psychopath is Jason Cruize.
He became my ... lover during the second human world war.
I was a doctor at that time, saving lives as much as possible. And he was a soldier at that time.
He was one of my patients I treated that time.
It's ridiculous to think that while you two are trying to survive for another day, we still managed to love another.
He loved me, or I thought he did.
I told him my biggest secret, being immortal. I thought he will accept me and our situation. That we have a different situatio, to begin with.
I was ready to give up my immortality to be with him, but he has other plans, to begin with.
At first, I hear rumors about him. But I just ignore it being busy at the infirmary and such.
But the signs show later on.
He's so demanding, asking for my time and my knowledge and everything I know on how to obtain immortality.
I didn't know he was experimenting on himself. And he was successful.
And the price he paid for is his persona.
Yes, he indeed became an immortal. But not the Jason I knew and loved.
I don't know him.
He's a stranger inside the body of once were my lover.
And I regret that day.
The day that I should've killed him when he was still vulnerable.
I never liked killing someone unless he's really on the death's doorstep while I'm operating at him.
Call me a softie, but that was me.
But things changed.
I was just lucky that I didn't mention Charles and Daniel to him, because if ever, he'll go rampage in jealousy.
But I know he knows by now that I have companions after we separated.
Companions that are loyal enough to piss and mess my day.
"Jason, leave." I hissed. "We're done. You decided this by yourself, so I decided for ours, and that we're done. You betrayed my trust."
His eyes turn to slits. He's angry and beyond pissed by the looks of it. "I'll return, Cass. Remember that. And no one will gets in my way, whether a mere mortal or immortal like me."
He walked away after that. And the kids released a sigh after the heated talk. They felt the tension in the air and forgot to breathe.
Who's that, Cass? Dad asked telepathically.
I'm sorry, dad. He's like Frankie, except, I can't explain it. It was my fault he turned out like that.
Well, we have tons of hours for your explanation. I'm sure Frankenstein would love to know about that, knowing you both have the same tastes in interests. He said inside my head.
I sighed mentally. I thought he's over with us and moved on. I didn't think he still wants me.
I'll tell you when we get home. I promise that, dad. I answered.
That's good.
"You guys go ahead first. I need to talk with Rai and Frankenstein about family matters. Seira, can you please make sure they get home?" I asked the noble girl.
Seira nodded and they went ahead.
"Dad, call Frankenstein. I'm going to call Charles and Daniel. I'm sure you guys want some explanations on how I obtained them, not in the way you have Frankie." I said.
He nodded and called Frankenstein mentally to head home immediately.
As he does that, I also called the two.
Charles, Daniel.
What is it? They both answered.
Go to this address, this time I need you when I explained everything to them about our situation. Jason found me.
What!! Charles exclaimed. That bastard is still alive? So he's really immortal?
Who's Jason? Daniel asked.
You'll know later, Dan. As for now Charles, calm down. I know you hate him but please be levelheaded first. I don't want you returning to the realm of souls immediately. I said.
Fine. Charles said. I'll be there in a few minutes.
I didn't think that within a few months, trouble will come.
