"I'm pregnant."

Those words weren't heard clearly outside the door of the office, but the contact of the porcelain cup and pot on the floor as it falls and breaks was loud enough to speculate that the news was surprising enough for the people inside the office.

Why did Cassielle announce that?

Let's go back a week ago.

Cass, Shiro, Nico, and his secretary, Daniel, decided not to take shortcuts in travelling around Korea. They occupied a resthouse in an expensive condominium near to her branch company before going to Frankenstein's house to casually stroll and take a look at what has happened after 'that' incident. [She heard that the kids don't remember that Rai exist, but felt that someone is missing. Then Rai returned.]

They passed a hospital that is well-known for their healthcare system and she got curious.

"Danny, stop the car to that hospital." She pointed towards the said hospital and Daniel steered towards it without any question.

He [Daniel] believes that Cass wouldn't be impulsive and might do something that will cause a heart attack to him. After all, he's been with her with all those years, but she wasn't the reckless type.

They entered the hospital as Nico roamed his eyes in the interior of the hospital. "This building is beautiful, but the scent is disgusting."

Daniel pats his head. "Hospital is the place where people that is sick, go. All chemicals are kept in here, and it has different sections and floor depending on its use."

They thought that they were just going to look around, as this was their first time, since their death, they they took a step inside the hospital. In Daniel's time, it wasn't as progressive as it is today. "They've been giving enough attention to people's health nowadays."

Cass didn't mind them and asked the receptionist where the site for blood extraction for an exam is, and was pointed towards a corner where fewer people were going to.

Daniel just blindly followed her until she stopped and spoke at the phlebotomist that almost thrown Daniel's soul out of his body. "I want a blood test."

"B-blood test?" Daniel pulled Cass to look towards him. "What are you thinking?"

"Sure, ma'am." The phlebotomist pulled some papers for her to answer. "Just fill up this form and we'll conduct test. The result will come up in five to six days, just return with the receipt and form."

Daniel was staring in disbelief. "Are you insane? You never do blood works in your entire life!"

"Well," The phlebotomist butts in. "I think it's a good decision to do it at all since she's a girl. Our body is sort of unpredictable."

"Yeah, unpredictable." Daniel murmured. "Too unpredictable."

Cass handed the form to the woman and was steered towards a cubicle. After the extraction was done, she was reminded again of when to return and get her results. But who would've thought that the result was a disastrous one?

Cass resumed office life until the day they can retrieve the result, but Daniel kept on pestering her. "Why did you do a blood work? What if they found out that you're not a human? Wouldn't that raise some suspicions?"

"Then let them be. I can erase it if I wanted to, you know? Besides, I want to know how will they react to that." She answered.

When they returned to the hospital to get the results, they saw a rich couple discussing their laboratory results. "Anemia? What's this? It's impossible!"

Cass just took the result and return to the office to resume work and just put it beside the files she's working on. And Daniel was rather curious about the result. "You won't open it?"

"Later," She answered while reading the documents. "After these papers."

True to her promise, they did open the result and divide it for the two of them to read. And the paper that was a piece of bad news went to Daniel's hand. He stopped scanning and went back to that word again to confirm that he wasn't seeing things.

"Hm, everything looked normal. They didn't notice that it wasn't human blood."

Daniel's face darkened. "Indeed, but we discovered new."

He shoved the paper towards her face. "Pregnant? Are you for real?"

Cass took the paper and read it. "Really? I didn't notice."

"HOW'S THAT POSSIBLE?" Daniel roared. "We see each other 24/7 and go anywhere at the same place except bathrooms and bedroom. Is this normal with you? What will you say to your father? Will he get angry? Is that the reason why you became so impulsive that day?"

"..." Cass just stared at him being hysterical. Daniel can't even feel an ounce of emotion from her.

Daniel scratched his head annoyance. "Argh!"

The next day, Cass and the gang went to school to meet up with Frankenstein and pull Rai out of his class. Daniel and others stayed out of the way and met up with M-21 and others and catch up with one another.

However, the kids got curious and snooped out to eavesdrop.

Rai was occupying the single sofa while Cass was on the three-seater. They are face-to-face, Frankenstein in between them, serving cups of tea.

Cass didn't hesitate and drop the bomb immediately in front of them.

"I'm pregnant."

The peaceful grin of Frankenstein changed to shock, causing him to let go of the teacup and teapot, breaking on the floor on the process.

Rai, on the other hand, was calm. Calmer than anyone inside the office.
