Days.
Weeks.
Months.
It's been a month since I've stayed here.
And in that month, I'm assisting Frankenstein.
Yes, assisting.
Muzaka's clan want to revive him. Probably because of the guilt of betrayal.
We're having shifts for the examination of Muzaka. He looked like a mess. He's in such state that only a miracle can save him. But if he willed to live, I'll persuade Frankie to help me revive him.
If he ever shows some symptoms of waking up.
And Frankie looked like a mess. He didn't have a bit of sleep.
He might be an immortal, but that doesn't mean he doesn't sleep.
"Take a nap, Frankie. You've been doing your duties five days straight. I'll take care of this." I told him when I entered the lab.
He has eye bags under his eyes, and it's so dark you can mistake his as a zombie. He hides it using a make-up whenever he goes to school.
As for me, I skip school a lot.
And my excuse is the business.
It's partly true, but my focus was on this matter.
Because this was the emergency Seira talked about last month.
What a good start in a new place.
The weres are visiting from time to time, as to avoid suspicions from the elders of their organization. But my instinct tells me they already know it.
And that's another battle Dad needs to stop with all his might.
But this time, he might die.
I kept on checking Dad's condition, because of the drug I made for him.
It isn't an actual drug, but you can say it has resemblance on it.
It contains wasted and unused life of mortals during the past two wars, which I retrieved during the war.
I have gathered millions of lives that contains billions of wasted lives.
Lives that can be happy up until the end.
I don't know what will happen if I didn't administer it with the procedure.
And it has a big risk.
He will die slowly if the body rejects it, making his short lifespan from using his powers shorten it at an alarming rate.
After all, there's no two same person that has overall similarities and compatibilities.
And that's the reason why Frankie needed me.
To prolong dad's life.
Because if ever he dies, I don't know what will happen to Frankie.
He might go back to the darkness again.
Or he dies along with dad.
I don't know the entire rules of their contract, as I never tried to have a servant that's alive.
I don't like bounding someone that supposed to be free and has decisions for their own, not to be dictated by anyone because they were owned.
"Dad's life has been added with at least a millennia, Frankie. But I suggest that he avoids on using the soul weapon. We both know the risk." I told him as I grab a tablet from the table.
Frankie sighed. "Do you want to know the entire content of my contract to your father?"
"No," I answered immediately.
"What?! That was a fast decision. You're not curious?" He said. He's surprised at my answer.
"I'm going to tell you a secret," I told him. " Shiro and Charles and bounded to me, just like your contract, that's why they can walk on earth, seen by others and do what normal ones can."
Frankie looked at me like I was trying to pull a joke with my straight face on. "The joke is not funny."
"I'm not pulling a joke, you idiot!"
"But that sounds impossible!"
"For you, yes. But not to me. You know I wandered for almost a millennia. Of course, you know what I'm trying to say."
"How?"
"Find it out. So take a nap now so you can think harder on how it happened."
Of course, I never gave them a direct answer. He gave up and left the lab.
This monitoring is to time-consuming. Well, if you're not fond with time like me, you wouldn't notice how much time had passed.
I was often visited by the enhanced humans, some nobles and the weres. Of course, the weres were checking to their previous lord, not me.
They think I'm just one of the noble with a thirst for knowledge or something.
I'm just glad they're not prying on my heritage. They just want my skills and knowledge.
I didn't notice that three days had passed since I holed myself down the lab. I only eat sweets the I bought last week. I never pay attention to much on my health. I'm far more healthy than my father.
Cassielle. My dad said in my head.
What is it, dad?
The kids are here. They're looking for you.
Can you tell them I'm busy with the business?
Frankenstein told that you're here. Busy assessing my health.
I'm coming.
That idiot! He's really asking for a death warrant.
The lab is located underground, thus I need to use an elevator to get above ground. Talk about convenience.
"Hey, Cass! The director said you're checking Rai's health. Are you a doctor?" Ikhan asked.
"Red cross member." I lied.
"Oh, so you know first-hand? That's cool!" Yuna exclaimed.
The topic ended and they just talked about what happened at the school. And as usual, we (dad and I) are just listening to them. I can't relate to them.
The dusk falls, it's time for them to go home. Rai and the nobles and the enhanced always send them home. But this time, I'm included.
But wearing an article of white thin clothing against the cold is not a good idea. And since that's me. Cold doesn't bother me at all.
And I'm telling you, these kids don't stop talking although we're all walking! Like, the topics don't end nor get started. And they're still full of energy.
I bet the boys will play after this.
Are you sure about this? Sending them home while wearing that?
Why not dad? It's just cold, not a monster or a killer. I rolled my eyes.
