A year later.

I'm currently trying to finish the paperwork when Grace come in.

Remember her?

Grace was one of the employees in Korea's branch of my company. I promoted her sent her back to her birth country to be together with Daniel.

Yes, that idiot fell in love with a mortal.

And the twist?

She's the daughter of the guy who killed him out of jealousy in position.

Daniel looked complicated and torn. But I only gave him a piece of my mind.

The guy had been living with guilt since he committed it. That's why when he saw Daniel, he looked like he saw a ghost.

Well, it is really impossible for a human to remain young after all the years. Their cells deteriorate, aging then as the years go by.

But since Daniel is 'half-dead', that rule isn't applicated in him.

Grace already knows about it, but she still accepted him that's why I went with Daniel to ask permission to her family. Turns out the father was the guy he's looking for.

Grace found out that it was her father who killed Daniel, that's why she's upset. But with my little persuasion skills, they're already fine.

That's why their wedding will happen next year.

"What is it, Grace?" I asked.

"Is Daniel here? Someone's looking for him. A woman." She asked.

"Don't be jealous, Grace. Bring her here."

She nodded and went out. After a few minutes, a woman wearing noble clothes came in.

"What brings you here, Erga? How did you find this place? And why are you looking for Daniel?" I asked simultaneously.

She glared at me. "He told me if I need to look for you, in case you left there, ask his name to a certain company and it will lead to you. I suppose they don't know your real name."

"Of course. Living in the crowd while still remaining your secrets intact is a must. There are nobles living around the world. Walking alongside humans. So why can't I?"

She looked at me again before she spoke. "It's been a long time since we saw each other. And I --"

"Do you like Dad?" I asked immediately.

"W-what?" She stammered.

A knock came suddenly, revealing Daniel with a letter. Pristine white.

Letter from my father.

"So you came, Lord Raskreia," Daniel said at last. He walked towards the table and put it on there.

"Stay, Daniel," I ordered. "This letter is an emergency."

I open the letter and read it immediately.

We need reinforcements. And go back to Lukedonia.

I folded the letter immediately and looked towards Daniel.

"Tell Charles to prep the plane. Pull Nico out of school and prepare your things."

Daniel nodded and left.

Erga looked at me, curious. "It seems like luck is on your side. Dad needs help, and you're coming with us."

Erga processed my words as I left her in my office until I heard her scream.
