"This exam is going to kill me." I mumbled walking into the classroom.
"Babe, come on. You'll pass with the highest score, I'm sure." Xander said pulling me against him. I smiled and gave him a quick kiss. We walked to our seats together. I sat down with a loud sigh. We were one of the first ones in the classroom, so we still a little time to talk.
"What do you want to do when we leave?" He asked, pulling my desk to his. I sat there for a second to think. "Ooh! Let's go puppy shopping!" He stared at me then laughed. "Seriously, babe? You already have a cat and a hamster."
I poked my bottom lip out and he finally gave in.
"Fine, fine. We'll go puppy shopping." I squealed and gave him a long kiss. I felt a smile form across his lips as he kissed back.
"Well, look at these two love birds." Our teacher said walking towards us.
"Uhm, sorry, Mr. Scott. I just got overly excited about something." He smiled and placed his hand on my shoulder.
"You don't have to explain, sweetheart. I've seen my share of young couples. Just don't let him distract you, okay?" I nodded quickly. "No probelmo." He walked back to the front of the class. I looked over at Xander, he looked mad.
"Something wrong?"
"No." He pushed my desk away from his.
"Babe. what's wrong?"
Silence.
I sighed and laid my head on my hand, waiting for the exam to start. I really hope I'll be able to concentrate.
The rest of the students finally came in and sat down. Xander still hasn't said a word or even looked at me.
What is his problem? Whatever. I needed to focus. Okay. Wow, the teacher already passed out the exams.
I looked down at the paper. I already knew all the answers. This was going to be easy. I hope.
After two hours, the exam was over. Thank God. This was my hardest subject. I pushed the thick stack of papers away from me and glanced over at Xander. He was staring at the opposite direction. He'd already finished his exam long before me. Which was expected, he was a genius in math. There were still students working on the exam, so I figured now would be a good time to ask Xander what was bothering him.
Instead of risking getting my phone taken, I pulled out a sheet of paper and a pen. I began writing.
Xander, can you at least tell me why you're mad at me? Please?
-Rox.
I folded the paper, and threw it on his desk. He opened it and scanned it quickly then started writing. He gently placed the paper on my desk without looking at me.
Are you THAT blind? The son of a bitch was staring at your chest and flat out flirting with you. I saw the way he was looking at you. Just forget it. It doesn't even matter.
- X.
I was livid. I didn't even write him back. I shoved the note in my backpack and laid my head on my desk. How can he be mad at me? I didn't do anything! it's obvious I wasn't paying him any attention if I didn't notice his 'flirting'. I decided not to think about it, all I was doing was making myself angrier. I closed my eyes hoping time would fly by.
Fortunately, it did. Mr. Scott began talking.
"Looks like everybody is done. Now, seeing the rest of the school probably isn't done, if you'd like, you're welcome go home now. Just please be very, very quiet walking down the halls." Before he could finish, I grabbed my things and walked out. I ran down the hall as fast as I could, without making any noise. I slowed down when I approached the doors, fearing it'd be loud. I gently pressed against the door, as it popped opened I walked out pushing it shut. I just remembered, I rode to school with Xander. I'd better walk home.
