It was lunch time. The ten of us gathered at our table and at least 4 different conversations were going on. Everybody was getting along. That made me happy. I smiled to myself as I looked around at the people I called my family. They are all so beautiful. Every one of them. As I sat there quietly something caught my eye. I turned my head slowly, and there he was. The reason for my pain.
Jacob.
I felt my grip tighten. I realized I was squeezing Xander's hand. When he realized who I was staring at he motioned for Dixie to come take me. They lead me out of the cafeteria as fast as they could. I snatched away from them both as I dropped down to the hallway floor. I felt the tears falling down my face. one after the other. Just like rain. I wrapped my arms around my legs and sobbed. Moments later my family was by my side. They knew my pain. They understood.
I sat there for a few minutes and looked up slowly. As I stood up, every single person around me tensed up. I didn't understand until he walked up to me. I tried walking away but his grasp was too strong. I couldn't move. I felt as if I was paralyzed. He grabbed my neck and whispered in my ear, "You can't avoid me forever. " The tears continue to fall. Just then he was snatched away from me by four hands. Xander and Zedd.
Dixie and Sky ran to me and hugged me as tight as they could. It felt as if my ribs would break any second. Dixie grabbed my face and looked into my eyes. "We won't let him hurt you again.." As she said that my eyes searched for Xander and Zedd. They had Jacob against the locker threatening his life, or that's how it seemed.
I closed my eyes for a few moments, I couldn't bear seeing him anymore. It was like opening old wounds and pouring salt in them. I opened my eyes as I felt someone grab my waist. It was Nolan. "Xander told me to take you home." He pulled me along as I watched him. He was the quiet one. I quickly stopped in my tracks. "Nolan?" I paused "Is something wrong?" He stared at me with a puzzled look then smiled his ever so sweet smile. "No, we just want you safe. " I crossed my arms and began pouting. "I can take care of myself, Mister." he chuckled and pushed me gently. "I believe that. But Xander doesn't. He doesn't want you alone." I said nothing more.
He lead me to his truck and we left.
