Ingrid watched the town of York as she hid in the grass with the Ragnarssons. "York. Look at her" Ivar comments as he stares at the gigantic walls of the town. "So ripe for plucking!" "And they don't even know that we're here. I say we attack tomorrow before they find out" Hvitserk suggests. "Yes."
"Hmm, wait. I remember something our father said. It was always better to attack an English town when they are celebrating one of their Saints Days. On those days most of the people will either be in church or they will be drunk" Ubbe tells them. "How do you plan on breaking in there?" She questioned the Ragnarssons as she looked at the gigantic walls and the many armed Saxons guarding it. "We'll find a way in there my love" Ivar tells her as he stares at her happily.

Ingrid decided to make her way through the small woods to mark out the land and see where they could fill out their attack. Soon the shieldmaiden came to a sudden hault. Two young farm boys stood right before her. They stared at the white blonde haired woman who looked like a ghost to them. Ingrid could hear Ivar and his men right behind her. "Go" she whispered to the children but it was too late they were right on her trail. "Well done wife" Ivar says from behind her, as he crawls his way over to her. "Ivar" she warns him as she tries to protect the two Christian boys. "Ubbe" Ivar called and Ubbe grabbed her by the arms and dragged Ingrid away from Ivar and the two little boys. She looked back only to see Ivar talking to them but with a huge grin on his face. Ingrid knew this wasn't going to end well for the two young boys.

The flames rose higher and higher, the smell of smoke lingered around her. Ingrid watched as they burnt the two boys. People cheered as this was a sacrifice to the Gods, to honour them and hopefully they would bring luck to the heathen army tomorrow with their attack on York.
