Kaylee's POV

I felt my head throb as John said those last words.

In a matter of time, the truth'll come out.

I just know it.

How could he just abandon his girlfriend like that? I mean, she's sick, she's serious with him, and she wants her own kids!

My heart went out to the poor girl.

"So, is that okay?" Paul asked, beside me, his large doe eyes shining bright.

Oh great, another reminder of why I wasn't telling everyone who the father was - Paul's heart is too easy to break.

I force myself to smile widely, but I was sure John could see through it as he sat on the couch, his eyes glaring.

"Sure, why not?" I answered, and George clapped his hands together, getting up from the couch.

"Okay! Ringo, go get dressed," George demanded, the sleepy eyed drummer nodding. "We'll leave right away."

My hands fidgeted by my sides as I stood there, seeming foolish and pathetic.

Now I wish I hadn't asked Ringo to come with me to the doctors.

"Are you okay?"

"Yes, I'm fine," I answered, stepping out of the car, Paul's hand around mine as he helped me out.

Ever since I'd accepted Paul's apology at breakfast, he'd assumed everything was back to normal with us; I was okay with that, but he's going a bit over the top.

"Is this the right place?" George called from the path, and I glanced up at the building before us, 'Angus&Pete's X-RAYS'.

My stomach did a flip, and I felt my baby kick it's tiny feet, reminding me vividly of Jimmy.

"Yes," I called back, stepping up onto the concrete path leading up the clinic. "I hate doctor's, though."

"Join the club." Ringo muttered behind me, John following silently, his hands in his pockets. "You go in for a checkup and say 'I've got the flu.' and next minute, he's chopping off your leg!"

I laughed at that, but it didn't help calm my nerves.

What if there was something wrong with the baby?

What if he or she had been affected by the fall with Mick Jagger?

No, I was certain this baby would be fine.

George reached the glass doors and opened it, holding it for me and the others as we walked in.

It smelt strongly of disinfectant and I wrinkled my nose.

"You'll be fine," Paul assured me, placing an arm around my waist.

I didn't have the heart to shrug him off, so I simply nodded and walked up the desk.

"Yes-" The lady started from behind the counter, but her eyes grew wide as she looked from George to John, Paul to Ringo. "You're The Beatles!"

I heard John sigh from behind me, and I tried to hide my on coming smirk as the woman saw Paul's arm around me.

"Look, darling," John's annoyed voice said from behind me. "If you keep your pretty mouth shut, we'll pay you. Okay?"

The obvious fan clamped her lips shut and nodded, looking down at her clipboard, seeming disappointed.

Surely any Beatlemaniac would be upset if they got the chance to meet the boys and was told to shut up, not to forget that Paul had his arm around a pregnant girl who looked no older than 15.

"Name?" The woman asked, her face contorted into an annoyed expression now.

"Sykes?" I asked, and the woman pointed a stiff thumb to the pearly white hallway, lined with paintings of landscapes.

"Down the hall, room 4P, Dr. Desario will see you," She informed, but then held up a hand. "Only one may go with you."

I furrowed my eyebrows and folded my arms, remembering the time when my mother had an ultra-sound on my brother, bringing half the family in with her.

But then again, that wasn't in the 60's.

"I'm sorry," I heard George say, leaning forward. "But we all have to go in."

I felt my cheeks heat up in flattery; they seriously wanted to see!

The woman stared up at George, ready to argue, but seemed defeated.

She sighed and closed her eyes, shaking her head.

"Sure, whatever." She muttered, and I grinned, looking at George, who seemed rather proud of himself.

"Come on!" Paul exclaimed, and before I knew it, I was on my way to see my baby on a screen, surrounded by The Beatle's.
