Rayne's pov

I loved the ring.

It fit perfectly.

I can't believe Josie helped him and was able to keep it a secret.

I really needed to call her.

I needed to thank her for bringing Kane into my life.

I was being such a bad friend lately.

I have been so busy with trying to get everything ready for my own clinic that everything else has been put on hold.

For right now I think I was going to put my clinic on hold just until I was sure we got Lily, and she was healthy.

I haven't talked to Kane about it yet since I just now decided this.

We pulled up to the hospital and Kane got out and opened my door for me.

He gave me a kiss and that one kiss settled my nerves.

We walked in hand in hand.

If he was nervous he didn't let it show.

On the inside I was freaking out.

Kane told the nurse he was taking his fiancé into meet Lily before they took her off to surgery.

I loved hearing him say that.

We walked down the hall and to a door.

I knew once I walked into this room my life would change forever.

Kane looked at me.

"Are you having second thoughts?"

This was it.

If I wanted to back out this was my last chance.

"No not at all. Let's go see our daughter."

He smiled and grabbed my hand.

When I walked in and saw this sweet little angel all hooked up to machines my heart broke.

I wanted to grab her up and make sure nothing and no one ever hurt her again.

The love I felt for this little girl was instant.
