Rayne's pov

I can't believe Josie is in labor.

We are both becoming parents on the same day.

I got a wet wash cloth and wiped the sweat from her face.

The OB doctor came in and said she would be ready to push soon.

I looked at Josie, but she wouldn't meet my eyes.

"Josie were you in labor this whole time?" I asked.

Both Brantley and I looked at her for an answer.

"Well yes but I knew labor can last a long time and I wanted to be here for you."

"Oh, you crazy woman thank you for everything."

We both wiped our tears and hugged.

I can't believe I had ever doubted Josie at one time.

She's not just a friend she's family.

I don't know what I would do without her.

I told her I would be right back I wanted to check and see if Kane heard anything about Lily.

I walked out of the room and into the waiting room.

"What are you doing out here I know she didn't have the baby yet because I would have gotten the call."

"No, it's almost time but I wanted to know if you have heard anything about Lily?"

"She's still in recovery but doing good. She's a little fighter. You should get back in there. I am going to do my rounds, but I will let you know the minute I hear anything."

"Sorry I know I am acting a little crazy right now."

"No Rayne your acting like a mother and I love you so much for that."

I smiled when he said that.

I kissed Kayne and was heading back to Josie's room when the doctors came running out pushing Josie's bed out with them.

They didn't say what was going on and told Brantley and I we needed to stay here.

Josie looked so pale.

I couldn't lose my best friend.

We were going to be mother's together.

I was not only worried about my daughter now I was worried about Josie and her baby as well.
