Chapter 6

Kane's pov

Josie called me and told me Rayne was home.

She told me she thought we were playing a joke on her.

I don't get why she would think that.

I mean she was beautiful and so sweet.

The way she was with animals only a person with a good heart was like that.

I needed to find a way to show her I was serious.

I wanted a date with her.

I was going to take on the challenge.

I was going to build this crazy beautiful woman up.

I wish I knew the man that shattered her self-esteem.

I'd love to knock him on his ass.

It just made my job a little harder but I was up to the task.

I wanted to come and see Rayne tonight, but Josie said they were having a girl's night.

I needed to do something though.

So, I decided to have a pizza delivered to Rayne's house along with a bottle of wine, and a note that said I was thinking of her.

I just wanted her to smile when she thought of me.

I wanted to show her just how beautiful she is, and that she deserved to be pampered.

I decided to call up Brantley and see if he wanted to do something since Josie was busy with Rayne.

He jumped at the chance to get out.

We decided on a sports bar close to where Rayne lives in case Josie needed a sober ride home.

I got a text from a number I didn't recognize.

All it said was...

"Thank you if you still want to I'd love to make up the date to you."

I couldn't help but smile.

I saved Rayne's number with the name beautiful girl.

I couldn't wait to take her out.

I text her back because I couldn't help myself.

"Of course, I still would love to take you out beautiful just let me know when your available."

"Well I am free tomorrow then it's back to work and hectic hours." Rayne said.

"I am free tomorrow as well. How about I pick you up around six so we could do dinner and a movie? Is there anything you'd like to see?"

"I am going to trust you to pick the movie and six is perfect. I will see you then, and thank you for being so understanding."

"It's no problem and I will see you tomorrow."

I hurried and text Josie asking her what Rayne's favorite flower was.

I wanted tomorrow to be perfect.

I was actually nervous.
