Chapter 22
Kane's pov
Lily's face lit up when she seen me.
"Hi Doc what are you doing here?"
"Well Lily I want to introduce you to Rayne she is going to be my wife and we have a question for you."
"Your very pretty." Lily said to Rayne.
I could tell that Rayne was happy.
"Lily how would you like Rayne and I to be your parents?"
She looked from me to Rayne and smiled.
"Could that really happen?"
"Yes, if you want it to."
She looked so happy.
"I want that so much. Will you be here when I get my new heart?" She asked Rayne.
"Oh, beautiful girl I will be here every day until you are home with us." Rayne said.
The nurses came and said they needed to take Lily to get her ready.
Rayne was shocked when Lily gave her a hug and kiss on the cheek.
I showed Rayne to the waiting room then walked back to be with Lily.
I would be there the whole time.
I could tell Lily was scared.
I didn't want to show any worry.
I knew she would make it through this.
She was such a strong little girl.
She was my little girl.
I had talked to Lily's social worker.
She was in the waiting room with Rayne.
I knew they would get a long and soon Lily would be ours forever.
