Chapter 28

Kane's pov

Lily was doing better that I had expected.

She was so strong.

I couldn't wait for her to come home with us.

Before she comes home, Rayne wants to get married.

I wanted to give her the fairy tale, but she seems to just want to rush it.

I checked in on Lily and the baby both were doing great.

The baby was going to be moved from the NICU to the special needs nursery.

If he continued to do good I was going to have him moved to the regular nursery.

I was going to check on Josie.

Her doctor was a good friend of mine and said she had lost a lot of blood.

I won't go into all the details, but it was a good thing she was already her at the hospital other wise she wouldn't have made it.

I know that would have destroyed Brantley and Rayne.

Josie was an amazing woman and I knew she would get past this.

I checked in with her doctor to see if she had woken up yet.

I was happy to hear that she was up and doing well.

He said he felt like she was out of the woods and would do just fine.

I walked into the room and saw Brantley and Rayne talking to Josie.

"Now this is what I like to see."

She smiled up at me.

"When can I go see my son?" She asked.

"Well once your doctor says you can be wheeled down you will be able to love on that handsome boy of yours. Just take it easy you scared us all."

"I know, and I will do everything the doctor says I just need to see my baby."

"Have you picked out a name for him yet?" Rayne asked.

"Yes, we named him Brayden." Josie said.

I had an idea that I knew would cheer up both Josie and Brantley.

Little Brayden was breathing on his own and was taking a bottle, so I had a little surprise for them.

"I will be back need to go check on a patient."

They were busy talking about the baby so didn't notice me.

I went into the nursery and asked how he was doing.

I told the head nurse my idea and she was all for it.

So, I got his little bed all set and wheeled him to the elevator.

Brayden needed his mother and she needed him.
