Chapter 24

Kane's pov

Lily came out of her surgery, but would be in recovery for some time.

She was such a little fighter.

So young to have to go through something like this.

She looked so frail lying in that big bed.

I walked out so I could let Rayne know everything went well.

I was surprised to see Josie and Brantley waiting with her.

I was glad they were here, but Josie should be resting she was due any day now.

I expected to get the call any minute saying she had the baby.

I was not only going to be named the God father I was also going to be their sons' pediatrician.

"Hey guys thank you for being here."

"How is Lily? Did everything go okay? It took longer than you said it would." Rayne said.

"I am sorry you were worried. Lily is in recovery and it will be some time before you can go in and see her, but she did amazing. Of course, the first 24- 48 hours could be touch and go." I told them.

"I'm sorry I have just been so worried."

I went over and held Rayne.

"Our little girl is a fighter she can get through this."

Josie didn't get up and she looked to be in some pain.

I knew she was due any time.

I figured if she was in labor she would have said something to Rayne.

Yet she looked miserable.

"Josie are you okay?"

She went to stand and all of a sudden it looked like she peed herself.

I knew she was in labor, but didn't know how long she's been laboring.

"I think my water just broke."

Brantley and I ran to her and helped get her into a wheelchair.

I let the nurses know where I would be and told them to let me know the second Lily wakes up.

We got her up to labor and delivery and the nurse took her back.

Rayne went in with her and I went and called down to see how Lily was doing.

Today has been a crazy hectic day.
