She looked back at me with a confused expression.
"My mother always told me that no matter how upset they make you never let a woman open the door for herself." I told her.
She leaned back into her seat and turned away from me. I could still see the faint traces of red in her cheeks.
"You shouldn't have asked." My subconcious told me. "This is how people fall in love. This is how people are put in danger."
There's no getting around it. This was wrong. With me being her boss and her being my assistant.
But for some reason that didn't stop me.
I got out of the car and after unlocking it opened the door for her.
I won't fall in love. I have made myself incapable of doing so.
These feelings are just minor. Lust.
Francis was right. It has been some time since I've had sex.
Katia's death had only been last year and there wasn't a girl that I had wanted since her.
I hadn't loved Katia and she knew it. She'd said she'd wait for me. Though I knew love wasn't something you could force or tame, I had just smiled and laughed.
I locked the doors and walked with her to the door.
She waited there for me to open the door. I smirked in satisfaction.
She was learning.

Gwendolyn
Well damn. That was new. Damien had never opened doors for me after our first few dates.
We were led to a reserved table. I have to admit I was impressed. Damien was nothing like Mr.Wells.
He ordered a plate that had a little of everything they could make in the resturant, saying that I needed to try everything before deciding what I liked best. Then he starting firing questions at me.
"I have one brother named Everett and a sister named Lavender." I said.
"Do you have any pets?" He asked.
"A German Shepard named Chase." I answered.
He let out a laugh for some reason. His mouth opened to ask another question when an all too familiar voice.
I took a deep breath and looked up. Straight into Damien's stone-cold glare.
Fuck.
"Gwendolyn." He greeted me with a tight-lipped smile.
I smiled at the fact that his hair was still green with traces of pink in it. "Damien."
"So you've moved on already?" He asked.
"So have you." I replied.
"Same care-free attitude." He smirked.
Not a cute one like Mr.Wells. His reminded me of the Grinch that stole Christmas.
Then he turned to Mr.Wells. "You seem like a nice guy so I'm going to let you off easily. She." He pointed at me. "Is mine and no one else's."
