Gwendolyn
Planning a wedding is harder than it looks.
Especially when you have only two other people to help you. And when you all disagree about something.
So when we fought. We asked some other people what they thought and majority wins.
It wasn't that simple sometimes.
"Xavier, pick a color." I held up a piece of black fabric and a piece of white fabric.
"I told you already. I want everything the way you want it." He said.
"But Xavier that's not fair." I whined. "I don't know which color I prefer for you suit."
"What color is your dress?" He asked.
"It would be blue if I could find the right shade." I said.
"Then make the suit white." He said.
"I don't know how that'll look though." I said.
"Then make it black." He said.
"Xavier." I whined.
He thought for a second. "Make it black with a white shirt underneath. Make your dress the same color as your eyes."
"Thank you." I said, writing it down.
"While you're here though I've got a suprise for you." He said.
"What?" I asked.
"In the garage." He said.
I looked at him suspiously. "You're not just trying to lure me into a secluded place, are you?"
He laughed. "I could fuck you here and now if I wanted to and I would. But we'll do that later anyway."
"Says who?" I asked.
"Says me." He said.
"We'll see about that." I said.
He scoffed. "Please. It won't take much to get you to submit."
My jaw almost dropped. I can't believe he said that. Out loud.
I flipped him off and walked in the opposite direction.
"The garage is that way." He said.
I turned back around and marched toward the garage.
'That's why he has a weak pull out game.' I thought to myself.
The garage door was shaking slightly when I reached out to open it and I hesitated.
Then I just turned the knob.
I looked around the darkness for something out of the ordinary and that's when it hit me.
Literally hit me.
Chase dove on top of me and I fell to the floor.
I was drowning in all his slobbery kisses.
"Chase!" I laughed, trying to get him off of me. "Sit!"
He stopped licking me and started sniffing me instead. Then he growled and ran past me.
"Where's he going?" Xavier asked.
He tried to help me up but I ignored him. I hurried by him and followed Chase.
Up the stairs and into Serena's room.
He was growling and showing his teeth at a very nonchalant Serena.
He stared at her and she stared back.
Then when he gave up he went off pursuing a new scent.
I followed him past Xavier's room and into the nursery where Aliyah looked like she was ready to throw the biggest fit that anyone had ever known.
Chase put his muzzle through the bars of her crib and she poked his nose. He sneezed on her hand and she started screaming.
I rolled my eyes and walked around Chase.
It was time for their bath anyway.
Chase wandered over to Xander's crib where he was sleeping and licked the side of his head.
"Get out Chase!" I said and he ran into the hall and disappeared from view.
I bathed Aliyah and Xander for about five minutes apiece and dressed them both in blue onsies.
I laid them head-to-toe on my side of the bed and surrounded them with pillows. They needed a break from their cribs.
Chase laid on one side of the babies and I laid on Xavier's side of the bed.
It was almost a family nap time.
I rolled over and drifted off into sleep.
When I woke up the room was completely dark but I could still see the outline of a person sitting at the foot of the bed.
I patted the bed next to me and all I felt was empty space. I jumped.
"Don't bother." Xavier's voice said. "They're perfectly fine."
I let out an audible sigh of relief and rolled back over, trying to fall asleep again.
But I could feel him staring at me.
"Gwendolyn you know I can't stand it when you're mad at me. Especially when I'm the reason behind it." He said. "I'm sorry if I offended you."
I heard his footsteps walking around the bed. "I promise to whatever you want if you'll just talk to me again."
I was silent.
"You can still be mad at me but I want to hear your voice." He said.
I took a deep breath. "Leave me alone, Xavier."
"No." He said.
"Why?" I asked as he laid next to me.
"Because I love you." He said. "But now that we're speaking I'll have to keep my word. What is it that you want me to do?"
"Leave me alone." I said.
"I'll do anything but that." He said.
I rolled onto my back. "Come closer then."
He inched slightly closer to me.
"For your punishment I'll be spending the week before the wedding at Evelyn's house." I said. "The entire week."
He let out a shaky breath. "I can live with that."
"Come here." I held open my arms and he laid his head on my stomach.
He kissed a little of the exposed skin. "Thank you. I love you."
I cursed. This turned me on so much, but I wouldn't give in. "I love you."
*******
Heyyy. So I took a few days to read the previous chapters to refresh myself and I had a thought.
Some of my readers are authors and my library kinda dry right now. I should ask them to send me their books so I have something to do other than write.
But they wouldn't do that.
Would they?
