"Relax, this kid and the footage is all the proof we've got." Ivana said from behind me.

"No! I don't care if their his last words, he knows where she is." I swung my fist again and got and got a resounding snap in response. "Where is she?!"

He spit out blood. "I already told you they plan to move around. That's all they told me."

Carl Bates. Renowed businessman and rumored rapist. Protected by the Mafia.

"Where are they taking her, Carl?" I asked slowly. "Answer me or I set you on fire."

He shrugged again. "I don't know."

"Liar." I said.

I turned around and grabbed the gallon of kerosene sitting on the table behind me.

I used a knife to cut away his shirt and poured it down his upper body.

"You've got one last chance." I said as I lit the match. "Tell me where she is."

"Maybe you should try Florida. I heard it's nice down there." He said.

He thinks I'm bluffing.

I held the match over his skin until it started to burn a trail where the kerosene had run down his back.

His screams bounced off of the walls, creating and echo.

I paced the room slowly and after about five minutes Ivana doused the man in cold water.

Tendrils of steam rose and the smell of burned flesh lingered.

I accepted a mask from Chris to avoid gagging. I hope the stench doesn't stick to my clothes.

I've got appointments today.

"You'll hear from my lawyers." Carl panted.

"That is if you make back to them alive." I said. "That was only for five minutes, next time it'll be longer."

"I already told you that they plan to keep traveling every few days." He hissed as I poured more kerosene onto the already burned skin of his back.

"There's something you're not telling me." I said, fiddling with the match. "I'm considering skipping right to 15 minutes. See how long you could last."

As I reached the hold the match over the kerosene trail again he screeched for me to wait.

"I don't have all day and neither do you." I still held the match over him.

"They're going to wait until she has the baby, then travel to another location." He wheezed out.

I blew out the match. "We've got a little time."

Ivava spoke up. "Have you ever considered they might be premature?"

"Do you always have to kill every little hope I have?" I asked her.

"No offense to you, but that's literally my whole job description." She said. "You should know, you hired me."

I rolled my eyes and Carl cleared his throat. "Please let me finish. I didn't suffer for nothing."

"Proceed." I said.

"They'll stay on the move to confuse you and then he'll lure you in once you've hit rock bottom." He explained. "He'll kill the child only because his right hand wishes to keep her as a wife."

"She'll never marry him and I will find her." I said.

"Credi che lo sappiano ancora?" I asked Ivana.
