Gwendolyn

Well this meeting in certainly fun. I thought to myself.

Same old boring discussions about the current state of business affairs. Same old lustful stares from the younger representatives and some from the old. Same old hateful glares from those who knew they were too damn old to be working this job.

I sighed and looked out the window.

"Questions?" Xavier asked.

Nobody raised their hands and I just looked at my watch.

15 more minutes.

I glanced at Mr.Jacobs and he was looking at my breasts.

I glared at him and when he noticed his eyes snapped to Xavier.

I put my headphones in to avoid the boring chatter.

When the fifteen minutes were up and everybody had gone Xavier escorted me back to my office.

"You don't seem to like Mr.Jacobs." Xavier observed.

"I don't like any man that imagines stripping me." I said.

He looked away from me for second before clearing his throat. "I need you to stay after hours."

I stopped dead in my tracks and looked at him. "Ain't nobody got time for that."

"I have to stay until everyone else leaves considering I'm the only one with a key to the building." He stopped and put his hands in his pockets. "That and the fact that I drove you here today."

I crossed my arms. "Should've grabbed my car keys."

He grabbed my arm and pulled me roughly closer to him. More like onto him. Seriously. I had to brace myself against his chest to keep from falling and busting my stuff.

He whispered in my ear. "I don't think it's a problem. I enjoy having you in my line of sight at all times."

My face flushed. Then he let go of me and walked off.

I just stood there staring after him until someone called Evelyn.

She led me into my office and forced me to sit down.

"Gwendolyn are you alright?" She asked feeling my forehead.

"I'm perfectly fine." I said and smiled to myself.

"You're blushing." She pointed out.

"So?" I got up.

"The fearless Gwendolyn I know never blushes over something a man says to her. With the exception of her father." Evelyn said.

"I like that adjective. Fearless." I tested it out.

"You know before you came Mr.Wells was really harsh. He fired at least ten people a day." She said. "Now he rarely talks to anyone but you and his brother. When we ask him why he's in such a good mood he just responds that he has his reasons."

"So. Maybe he's realized that he's got to stop firing people." I shrugged.

"Let's not forget his frequent visits to your office." She pointed out, still trying to state her case. "He's behind closed doors with you most of the work day. What do you expect people to assume?"

"I don't know about people but I assumed everybody would mind their own damn business." I looked out the window.

She laughed and left the office. "It's drama, who doesn't love a good drama?"

I rolled my eyes and sat down at my desk. I guess I could watch youtube until it was time to go.

An hour passed. Then another. Then another and another.
