Chapter 7 😶

Justin's pov:

I woke up and slowly adjusted to the light in the room. Then I feel an arm over my body. I peek over and see Raegan behind me, pretty close I might add. His arm over my body, holding me this close. I didn't really want to move, so I didn't. I stayed and went back to sleep.

I woke up again a little while later, this time with no one in bed. I get up, grab my phone and go downstairs. I see Raegan in the kitchen. I go up to him and stand beside him.

"Hey you're finally awake." He said.

"I woke up before you, I just didn't want to move and fell back asleep." I told him.

He smirks a little and puts down the spatula he was using for the pancakes. He turns to me and leans on the counter.

"I'm sorry." He says.

"For what?"

"..Everything"

"Well-"

"I've just, if this makes sense, been getting a little attached to you. I like having you around, it makes me not so miserable. Waking up to you right next to me this morning made me not feel like such a bad person who no one likes." He tells me.

"I-i mean it's not like I thought there was a chance I was going to get set free. But, it's fine I guess. It's not bad here, but it is bad compared to-"

"You're 'old life' I know." He says cutting me off.

I shrug at and look down at the pancakes. She start smoking bad and it looks like they are about to catch on fire. Rae sees me staring and takes a towel to wave the air and make the smoke go away. Be there that pancake out, it was black. We both look at each other or laugh.

"Jeez don't burn your house down." I say laughing.

"I'll try not to." He says sarcastically.

"I'll be in the other room."

"Ok."

I go to the room where we eat and sit down. A few minutes later, I see the boys come down with weird outfits on. Mostly camo, a little back, just all dark. They even have hats on.

"After we eat, we have another minor mission. It should take an about an hour." Max tells me.

"Cool. Good luck." I say.

They sit down and think. Rae didnt tell me they had another mission. He obviously knows right? I see Rae come in and he looks at his friends.

"Oh shit!" He says putting the food on the table and running out of the room. Then I hear fast stomping up the steps.

"He actually forgot our mission?" Eddie asks.

"I guess so." Dean sighs laying back on his chair.

They pass the pancakes around and we eat our breakfast. Once we finish, Rae comes running back in the room. Now all dressed like them.

"I'm so sorry guys I totally forgot."

"Yea. I wonder why." Dean says.

What does he mean by that? He sounded really obvious?

Rae doesn't even bother to eat. They all talk a little while I just go up to my room. I sit on the floor and put some music on my phone. The door opens and I look up.

"We'll he back soon. Okay?" Rae said.

"Ok. Be careful." I tell him. He smiles while nodding. He closes the door and I just lean my head back on the wall listening some calm music.

I really wonder, how did all of this happen. I'm not talking about the whole being kidnapped thing. I'm over that. It happened. It still is 'happening.' But now that I've spent a little time with Raegan, I feel something around him. When he looks at me I get a little nervous. When he smiles, it's so cute. When he's mad, it's kind of hot?

What about this morning? What he told me? He told me that he's getting attached to me. He likes me around. He likes waking up me this morning. To be honest I liked waking to him too this morning. I obviously just didn't tell him. I don't know why. Isn't that weird?

Oh shit what am I saying. First of all, I will never fully 'like' my kidnapper. Second, he will never see me as no more then a friend ever....or more?

Right?

I shut off my music and get up. I realized that music makes me think. A lot. Just the calm beat and soft singing is beautiful.

•Two hours later•

I went downstairs to go grab something to eat quick. I didn't eat of a lot of breakfast. As I go to the kitchen, I see an apple on the table. Sure why not? I take it off the table and take a bite. I've been in my room too much I'll stay down here for a little.

I finish the apple and see a gun? On the counter? I get up and approach it slowly. I pick it up. Wow it's heavy. I've never picken up a gun before. I see the bullets in it. Oh god it's loaded. I was about to put it down when I heard the door open forcefully. I pointed it at the door but saw Raegan and his friends. I put it down, still holding it.

"Woah Justin." Rae says.

"Sorry I was curious." I say laughing. He smiles a little.

Dean steps up in front of Raegan and stares at me intensely.

"Are you not going to shoot us?" He asks.

"What?"

"If you wanted to, you could shoot all of us right now and leave. Going back to your 'normal life' You won't do it?"

Wow. I mean, of course I wouldn't. Why? I don't know.

I put the gun down on the counter behind me still looking at them. I shake my head telling them no I would never do that.

"Hmm wow." Dean says walking away. I look at Raegan and he looks.... happy?

"How was it?" I ask him getting closer.

"It went good." He said. We stayed staring at each other. No words.

"Ok so we're gonna go." Eddie says walking away with Max and John.

I watched them walk away then turned back to Raegan. I saw his hand was all swollen.

"What happened?" I asked getting closer.

"While we were running away, he slammed the door on my hand." He said.

"Oh my God." I said reaching for it. I held his hand and looked at it.

"Come on let me wrap it." I told him.

He followed upstairs as I went to the bathroom. He pointed to the cabinet and I took a bandage wrap out. I started to wrap it and he flinched.

"Sorry."

"Its okay." He assured me smiling. I finished and put the wrap back.

"Thank you Justin" He told me.

"Anytime Rae. Talk to you later. I'll be in my room." I said.

"Ok."

I go to my room and shut the door. I feel awkward around him a little. I don't know why. It's weird.
