All throughout the night Sophia felt very weary and shaken for reasons unknown, she just had that gut feeling deep within her that told her when something was going to happen. And with how it felt nauseating to her made her all the more nervous and jittery.

Apart from that, she felt as though someone was watching her as she gazed into the fire.

Finishing her book long ago she could only remain silent as she sat dazed by the fire, loving the feel of its warmth cascading along her cheeks and down her legs and now bare feet. She wiggled her feet into the carpet in comfort to calm herself of this anxious feeling, even though she looked around and even had gotten up and looked for herself if one of the cousins- or even Howie- was watching her as she daydreamed close to the fire. Alas, everyone was sound asleep in their own guest beds while she remained wide awake by the toasty fire.

Thinking herself to be delusional due to the lack of sleep recently she thought it best to put things aside and save it for another day, to shut her eyes and finally sleep.

Before she could do that though there was a soft tinking sound that- she thought- came from the kitchen window. She turned around slowly and tip toed into the kitchen, her bare feet making contact with the cold surface of the hard floor. The shivers that went through her body intensified as she made her way closer to the clicking noise; not knowing what was making the noise she had opened the window just barely before the harsh winds from outside rushed up the sleeves of her sweater and across her abdomen. Sophia quickly shut the window and wrapped her arms around her tummy to warm the cold area.

Only when she brought her hands to hug her sides she felt the soft texture of fur and scales, not her wool cotton sweater.

Going back towards the fire she looked down and saw a small ball of blue and black furry mass clinging to her. She had gasped and tried to take it off of her, but, her actions only made the strange creature cling to her tighter and crawl closer to her neck. When the small creature finally looked up to Sophia, making her freeze in place and fall in love with it.

Whatever the strange animal may be, it clung to Sophia for dear life and wound itself around her neck in safety, warmth, and shelter.

Like a babe for its mother.

Sophia smiled slightly and couldn't help but love the adorable creature even more for coming to her, whatever it may be she welcomed it into her life and loved its clinging nature. She slowly made her way to the living room's couch that was close to the fire- the other family members needed the other guest bedrooms- and got under the covers with the small animal still clinging to her neck.

Krampus was pleased as his pet succeeded in getting in, now the creature can be an inside eye for him whilst watching over his new master. The small breed of ringkin were not only reliable pets and chose their masters for themselves, but, they are excellent thieves and even more so spies for their chosen master. When Krampus had seen his ringkin thrust himself and choose a second master he was shocked, these creatures rarely chose a second master to obey so willingly, let alone a human master.
